(From Bethlehem City Hall, PA—August 6, 2014)-- Mayor Bob Donchez reaffirmed today that Public Safety is his top priority in the City of Bethlehem. “Recent incidents that have occurred in the downtown will not go unanswered. Bethlehem is a very safe City and under my watch it will remain that way!”, expressed Donchez. Mayor Donchez met with Police Chief Mark DiLuzio earlier today to evaluate security throughout the city. Presently the City of Bethlehem has the majority of its officers working MusikFest. This includes top leadership, detectives, bike units, mounted units, car patrols, and special units. These officers are in addition to the regular shift that is patrolling the City. Additionally, Bethlehem Police are joined by the FBI, Northampton County Emergency Management, the Pennsylvania State Police Mounted Unit and the City of Lancaster Mounted Unit providing 10-12 horses to ensure further crowd control. Mayor Donchez was pleased by the quick police response and resolution to the multiple events that occurred this week
But has he called Chief Trachta?

Why the explanation point? Amateur hour in Donchez's office.
He could use Nazareth. At least there they don't let the druggies and lawbreakers run wild.
we in Nazareth want a Chief who lets the bad guys know they don't care who their friends are, the laws will be enforced.
W
!!!!!! does that mean he is really serious. LOL
"Why the explanation point? Amateur hour in Donchez's office."
Sigh. It's called an exclamation mark.
2:10, I see. By having no one on duty on Sunday?
@2:46 PM This sounds like an explanation point you are making. Bernie. lol
Don't forget about those roving patrols to see that your recycling is out on the proper day, and your garbage cans are within 10 feet of your home.
Willie and company shoot their mouths off but have nothing constructive to add.
Chickenshit punk.
The maroons in bedlam had a chance to elect Gregory instead they picked Booby D, you reap what you sow. Don't come crying to the manslab when he is released because Unity PAC will be his sole focus.
3:57,
Bipolar remarks at their finest. How can anyone advocate a convict for public office? I'll take Mayor Donchez over loony any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
In the last 4 months Bethlehem has had two meth houses blow up and now gun shots fired twice within the last 5 days on Main St. Donchez needs to get a handle on what the hell is going on!!!
Where were those arrested from? Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem, Philly?
@6:11, who are you, wee willy still sore about losing?
"The maroons in bedlam had a chance to elect Gregory"
Yep, they had a "chance" of making a big mistake. Instead of electing that loser, they cheered him on as he went off to state prison, and probably feel very fortunate. In West Easton, voters were savvy enough to kick the horse-faced stalker and serial harasser to the curb, and now she is racking up criminal convictions. Who says voters aren't smart?
Jim Gregory's release from prison will have all the impact of a fart by a stranded passenger as the Titanic sank.
you could put a police officer on every corner and criminals will always find a way to create havoc.
The mayor is doing a great job. Look at the Police Commissioner who is suppose to have the experience to deal with this. It is his department was should be under scrutiny not the mayors office. Yes, I voted for Willie, but not because I felt Bob couldn't handle the job, I wanted to see young blood in there. This would be happening under anyone watch. Did we crucify Bush for 9/11? Was that his fault? No it was the National Intelligent's fault.
