That's what Bossman Wayne Woodman told Lehigh County Republicans at their most recent meeting. Woodman was reacting to Bill White's recent column, Will voters reward puppeteers?
Rank-and-file Republicans are unhappy with his leadership. Party stalwarts like Bob Romancheck and Scott Armstrong have stepped aside, unwilling to be part of a train heading over a cliff.
Ironically, the Republican who persuaded everyone to vote for Woodman was Dean Browning.

OK, Lets compare Browning's 2010 budget vote to Najarian's.
Browning, when presented with a 16%tax increase, voted against the process laid out in the Lehigh County Home Rule Charter to rein uncontrollable government spending.
At the same time, Najarian was face with a budget dilemma of his own doing.
Faced with a balanced budget for 2011, after previously cutting Lynn township property tax, eliminating the per ca pita and admission tax, Najarian had to make hard decisions on how best to allocate Lynn Townships 2010 surplus.
So, do we vote for a candidate whom talks the talk or for the candidate whom walks the walk.
Tom Creighton's "Contract With County Taxpayers"
"I will balance the county budget without increasing property taxes or raiding county reserves"
Paid for by Dean Browning's Lehigh County Victory PAC

I got my Browning large glossy today, what a joke.
Wayne Woodman is not a game player, which is why he is having problems with the status quo folks.
Bernie -
I find the "puppet" narrative being pushed by Browning and his supporters to be offensive and demeaning.
Anyone who's ever run for office - or even worked on one - knows the commitment needed from a candidate in terms of time and money. I can’t imagine anyone going through the trials of a political campaign merely to be someone’s “puppet”.
Browning has been through enough campaigns to know this. He might disagree with the candidates on issues, but the story he is trying to weave is beneath him. I see it as a sign of desperation.
I'm upset that the chair of the LC Republican party is not staying impartial, as he ... Wayne the hatchman Woodman ..... should be. Whether you like Dean Browning or not, what Woodman is doing is just plain wrong. Bernie has it right dead on, and I hope he continues to pursue this crime! Why haven't the LC Republicans gotten rid of him????
Patrick McHenry (if that is your real name, anonymous coward),
Every Republican who has ever won elected office owes his livelihood to Dean Browning. How dare you question that?
Glenn Eckhart never would have won reelection if not for Dean's money. Conversely, Hillary Kwiatek only lost because she took Don Cunningham's money. If that logic doesn't make sense to your puny brain, you need to remember that this is Bernie O'Hare's world and we're just fortunate enough to be living in it.
Who gives a shit!
You, and enough to post a trollish comment.

So if you don't think that Woodman should be endorsing anyone (which he hasn't), then you surely wouldn't want the State Republican Chairman to endorse anyone either, right?
Word has it that the State Chair is endorsing Browning.
I'm sure you'll be calling for the State Chair to resign and for Browning to reject the endorsement, right?
Actually I was thinking you were the Michael Moore of the Valley,But hes actually cool.. your just fool and a town drunk w a blog, see you at the american hotel for happy hour guy...
Patrick,
I don't know what the state Chair is doing, but the difference between the two is that one of them said he'd be neutral, and he's not.
The nomination petitions alone reveal that Woodman made his choice. He circulated petitions on behalf of 4 GOP candidates, and they just happen to be Scott Ott, his wife (I'll give him that), Dave Najarian and Vic Mazziotti. Since there are only four open seats, he could not legally circulate on behalf of any of the others. So he made his choice.
Folks, Patrick is stating a view on behalf of Woodman and is attacking no one. He has a right to remain anonymous.
Patrick M(alicious)C(oward)Henry doesn't worship at the altar of Dean Browning. He should be burned at the stake for the good of our country.
Rumor had it that someone was going to ask for Woodman's resignation at the committee meeting this past Tues. I guess THAT never happened? Anyone have any insight into that???? I say he needs to GOOOOO!
Bernie -
I tnink the whole "endorsement" issue is not an issue at all.
1) I don't think that circulating petitions constitutes endorsement. All members of the LCRC SHOULD have been circulating petitions and would have been limited (as you correctly note) to circulating on 4 petitions for county commissioner.
2) As far as I know, Woodman is making no official endorsement of any candidate. No statement such as "Endorsed by LCRC Chair Wayne Woodman" will show up on anyone's campaign literature, the way Dean Browning used "Endorsed by Congressman Charlie Dent" on his latest flier (which I'm not complaining about).
3) Even if Wayne Woodman endorsed a candidate or group of candidates, I doubt many voters would care.
4) I think that many people are confusing an endorsement by the Chair with an endorsement by the Committee. That would be significant because a formal endorsement by the committee would preclude committee people from helping any candidate other than those endorsed.
Patrick, Circulating for a candidate is most certainly an endorsement. WW could only circulated on behalf of four because, as a matter of law, it is an act of support. You seem to be struggling in trying to justify this and that's bc it can't be justified.
Bernie -
You must be right - I'm struggling.
Should no one on the committee have circulated ANY petitions because they could only circulate for four of the eight (or nine) commissioner candidates?
I'm sure I'll see "Petition Circulated by Wayne Woodman" on any campaign literature that "The Fab Four" send out. That should cause all Republican VOTERS to blindly vote for them.
I can't wait until the VOTERS can have their say. I'm just happy they have a choice.
Some insight on the LCRC meeting. There was not enough members present (no quorum) to call for resignation or a vote of no confidence. Although it was obvious from the comments being made that there is definitely negative feeling towards the chairman by MANY members.
WW is endorsing a candidate - Lisa Sheller, his wife. He made that point during his Bill White-Michael Moore - I am right - you are wrong monolog to start the meeting.
As the chair of the LCRC any political actions taken by the chair are PERCEIVED to be that of the entire committee - it;s one of the drawbacks for being the head of any organization. Public perception is often considered to be truth - so, no matter if some people think his actions with the petitions are ok, the perception is that WW acted on behalf of the LCRC is doing so.
Lastly, I have a question that perhaps other LCRC members could answer. Accoring to the LCRC by-laws; Rule VIII (2) "any person who lends his support to a candidate who is not a qualified Republican elector through financial contributions or personal endoresement shall be disqulaified from holding his/her position..." Since Jake Towne, on his own websire that he has no ploitical prty affiliation shouldn't those LCRC members who supported Towne (financially or personally) be relieved as a committee person?
"Circulating for a candidate is most certainly an endorsement"
Wrong,
Circulating for a candidate is circulating for candidate.
An endorsement goes something like this.
"Hello, My name is Dean Browning and I endorse Tom Creighton"
Oh stop it Eck.

Eck, Since WW could only circulate for 4 of the candidates legally, and he did for four and not the others, that is an endorsement. It is not an express endorsement, nut it is an endorsement.
