Lehigh Valley Health Board Has a Website

It's located here, and provides meeting dates, actual minutes and useful links to other public health resources. Once (or should I say if?) a bi-county health department is established, this website will serve as a central location for information on public health services that will be available to the entire Lehigh Valley community.

According to this webpage, the top ten greatest achievements of public health over the last century are the following: Vaccinations; Motor Vehicle Safety; Safer Workplaces; Control of Infectious Diseases; Decline in death from Heart Disease & Stroke; Safer and Healthier Foods; Healthy Moms & Babies; Family Planning; Fluoridation of Drinking Water; and Recognition of Tobacco use as a health hazard.

Just what we need. We already invite the NJ and NY thugs to the Lehigh Valley with poverty wages and free housing, free food and free clothing. Now we will give them more speedy free care courtesy of the new Health Department.

Why do you think only a few areas have them. Each area is a concentration of section 8 housing ans liberal hand wringers.

Another multi-million dollar scam to hand out government goodies and provide a bunch of new semi-governmental jobs to some insiders.

Oh joy!

Over 2,660 professionals urge the US Congress to stop water fluoridation until Congressional hearings are conducted, citing scientific evidence that fluoridation, long promoted to fight tooth decay, is ineffective and has serious health risks. See statement:http://www.fluorideaction.org/statement.august.2007.html.

Fluoridation is the addition of unnecessary fluoride chemicals into public water supplies ostensibly to reduce tooth decay in tap water drinkers.

Also, eleven Environmental Protection Agency employee unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals called for a moratorium on drinking water fluoridation programs across the country, and have asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people.
