Below you will see two letters from municipal union SEIU, addressed to LV Congressman Charlie Dent and Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski. They apologize for "careless and insensitive" remarks made by a local union president, objecting to volunteer efforts by boy scouts at an Allentown park. (You can click on the letters to see them more clearly).

Too late!
They are thugs, they are government employees and they embody everything that is wrong with government today.
They have proven themselves to be greedy and boorish.
Too little, too late and I am sure insincere.
My mind is completely changed now. I'm in love with SEIU.
Not.
It's another example of the wild-eyed damage that the right wing does to the ability of working people to make a living. The union NEVER threatened to sue the boy scout, but the Big Lie strategy always works. Repeat it often enough and it becomes accepted "truth." God help the working man - and woman - while public opinion is being shaped by Tea Baggers.

I couldn't have said it better myself!

On second thought, those Republicans/ right wing crazies are destroying Allentown and America.
Yeah that’s the problem, go SEIU.

Gimme Gimme Gimmecrat.
Working man my ass. Extortionist, thug, yes. But working man? Stop already, you whiney little puke, or mommy will take away your internet privileges and she'll stop doing your laundry.

"Gimmecrat"
Love it!
Actually, a more appropriate description would be "Canigetcrat"
The Eagle Scout earned his "Scab" badge from the knuckle-dragging SEIU bullies. The public has NO empathy for public employees who have long ago forgotten who they work for- the taxpayers! And the Allentown parks dept. employees who stabbed their least senior brothers and sisters in the back should be ashamed of themselves.
-Another Allentown Demo
We were surprised a local union was allowed by the national to issue any type of a public statement in the first place.
Sadly, this story of a union vs. a scout traveled the world via the Internet.
