Bernie, glad to see that you have finally come to the realization that Tara Zrinski has a lot to offer as a public servant, a fact that the voters of Northampton County have known for a long time. Ms. Zrinski's finance report suggests exactly the kind of grass roots support that has been the hallmark of her political career.
Her work as a champion of the environment, first as an organizer and then county commissioner include the following accomplishments:
• She led the fight against Corporate Eminent Domain in opposing PennEast Pipeline taking farmland and historically significant land.
• She was instrumental in leading Northampton County to enter litigation against landfill expansion
• She voted for energy efficiency upgrades, solar panels on the new forensic center and hydropower generation.
• She voted for farmland preservation saving appox. 3600 acres for 50 farms
• Formed a coalition of environmental groups, water protectors and municipal governments to end the dewatering events in Bushkill Creek by holding Buzzi Unicem accountable.
She has real conversations with county residents and listens to their concerns, including care for the elderly and infirm and her leadership and voting record prove that. Ms. Zrinski has consistently voted for preserving the county's ownership of Gracedale and she has proposed measures that would help to attract and retain staff, including bonuses, a daycare, and a County Healthcare Center, which was voted down by a majority of the council. She also met with the residents of the Oliver C. Border apartments (one bedroom apartments for persons 62 or older and/or disabled of any age) and took their concerns to council resulting in a change in management.
Residents of our county noticed her dedication and when it came time to re-elect Ms. Zrinski to County Council in 2021, she received more votes than any other candidate, Republican or Democrat, by a margin of 1,272 votes! When she ran for County Controller, after once again running an effective grassroots campaign, the voters elected her in both the primary and general electionsand she defeated her fellow commissioner by 5,728 votes.
In order to get on the ballot for County Executive, each candidate is required to obtain a total of 250 signatures from registered voters of their party, Once again, Ms, Zrinski's grassroots support came into play, garnering her a total of 1,453 signatures, beating former Executive Glenn Reibman's record of 1,200. (Cozze received 607 and Giovanni received 864) What's even more impressive is the fact that 68 volunteers gathered these signatures because they believe that Ms. Zrinski has the knowledge, intelligence, leadership skills and empathy to be a great County Executive.
So when I look at Ms. Zrinski's campaign finance report, I am not surprised to see that she is supported by LOCAL small donors, workers and County executives who have previously held the job and know that Ms. Zrinski can do the job. Perhaps the reason she has the support of county employees is because they have noticed how she treats her own staff and would like that kind of consideration from the County Executive.

Public records have demonstrated that Zrinski had committed perjury during a court case. Yes, the case was a civil matter involving 2 of her 3 children. However, one must seriously ask the question, if she is willing to lie to courts under oath and in a situation involving children, then what else is she willing to lie about?

During the debate with Cozze, she was pressed on the idea of stating she would stay in the Controllers position until the end of the term. This is the LIE! It is demonstrated when she stated, “It was my intention.” She gave a covering statement when claiming she was asked to run for executive and she felt obligated to do so.
Many people have pointed out how she is an opportunist. He perpetual campaigning for multiple political seats is a more clear position of her intent to seek positions for personal gain. All platforms are solely for personal gain under the guise of altruism.
It would be interesting to hear how she interacts with the two fathers of her 3 boys and whether they concur with her assessment of those interactions. A true revelation to what would be her true identity.

I'd delete any attack that focuses on her children. This one simply wants to know whether they attend school in Beth or Nazareth. I believe the father lives in Nazareth area and that would explain why they attend school there. County candidates are always invited to attend to county retiree luncheon and make their pitches. The invitation goes to all candidates or none. If the retiree ass'n pays, it does so for all candidates invited.

It's obvious a lot of these commentors are County insiders/staff as well. This is like a parody of bad local government. As the author of the comment which prompted this thread, I am reading the responses with equal parts amusement and disgust.
I was amused that I was accused of being a member of some sort of backroom secretive political mechanism in the form of the "Northampton County Cabal" which is way more intriguing than the actual truth. I am simply a resident of Northampton County who votes based on the factual evidence of what I read in the news, documents available for public viewing, attendance at local political events and the livestream of County Council meetings. I am disgusted by the response to simple factual information, easily verified by the resources I have mentioned, into the devolvement of mudslinging and personal attacks

I have observed Ms. Zriinski's conduct based on the information at hand and have supported her political ambitions to serve the people of Northampton County in a way that is in line with my personal priorities. Apparently, the voters of Northampton County have heard what Ms. Zrinski has had to say through a bullhorn, microphone, or in a discussion at their doorstep, and the majority of voters agree with her message. The fact that Ms. Zrinski has run for other offices only speaks to her determination and does not detract from the excellent work she has done on the behalf of our county. I am hopeful that after she has served as our County Executive, she will move forward in representing more Pennsylvanians at the state or national level.

At 12:46, As much as you may align with Zrinski's views, it must be asked what the true intentions are when she has a history of perjury. I seriously ask that if a person is able lie under oath, then what lie is she willing to tell the general public. Additionally, as you may view her constant campaigning for multiple office may present as determination. However, I could only equate this to fool's gold knowing her personally and through watching her campaigns.
As seen in the post from 7:21pm on 5/14/2025, I echo the question and challenge at hand, have Zrinski discuss how she gets along with the 2 fathers of her children and see if they agree with her assessment.
As working with another parent in raising children, what a better way of truly examining her abilities to work with others. (I would ask the same of any candidate who had divorces and had to work with another parent in separate homes to raise children).

Zarinsky is constantly taking credit for county actions and resolutions that she had little if anything to do with. She mentioned the use of a 501 C3 tax exempt fund foundation that could be used to help gracedale….she failed to mention that the county, to this day, refused and tabled an opportunity to set up their own 501 program …it was tabled by Kraft and never explored, and Zyrinski had nothing to do with it or never participated….the Friends of Gracedale Foundation was set up privately with former council member Parsons , with its own private board and bylaws.,.this foundation brings the donations to the Council for Gracedale…..
The Foundation is NOT controlled by council nor does Zyrinski or any council person have the right to take credit for its origins or function.
