Becky Bartlett Resigning

From Northampton County: Becky Bartlett has announced that she will be leaving County Government effective 1/27/23. Bartlett has served as Deputy Director of Administration for 5 years and as the County’s Chief Information Officer.

In a letter to Director of Administration Charles M. Dertinger, Bartlett wrote, “Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am resigning from my position as Deputy Director with the County of Northampton. My last day will be January 27, 2023. Thank you for the opportunity to work in this position. I have very much enjoyed my five years with the Administration.”

County Executive Lamont G. McClure said of Bartlett, “It is not an over statement to say, that Becky has played a vital role in the success of this Administration. She took her responsibility to keep the public informed – especially through the pandemic very seriously. Becky has our deepest thanks and our most fond wishes for happiness in this next phase of her life.”

So why the dramatic raise in pay McClure had to push through and you dutifully endorsed? To help with her pension? Or maybe it was done to setup the next person McClure wants to reward with a job to replace her. Now the person gets a fat paycheck and no questions asked.

You have to give McClure credit, he is one sneaky slick and slippery guy.

Ain't that something! She leaves after getting a ridiculous raise!

So what hospital network or development company will she end up at?

"So why the dramatic raise in pay McClure had to push through and you dutifully endorsed? To help with her pension? "

Obviously, the raise was an attempt to keep her. It would not have helped her pension bc she was not in this higher salary long enough. I do not know Becky very well, so I have no idea why she left or where she is going. I do know she was a very hard worker and I am sure McClure is going to feel her absence. I believe she was a political hire. The county exec and his cabinet each gets an "exempt" employee. But Becky worked very hard. Se was involved in communication and the FAQ concerning elections that she and Amy prepared for the public was outstanding.

Then why would she leave? Hmm.

Obviously, you are a shill for McClure. That being the only obvious thing there is. He knew she was leaving. Obviously, he used her as his shield to give a ridiculous upgrade for the next person he wants to give the job.
