After taking office in 2018, Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure restored and actually added to the health care benefits that had been cut by John Brown. He advised County Council last week that he's now exploring a health center for county employees and their dependents. It would be confidential and run by a third party.
Of the 481 county employees who responded to a survey, over 78% said they'd use it.
McClure said he's trying to make the work experience better for county workers.

What exactly would this "health center " do, that isn't already covered by employees' health insurance at other medical facilities?
With TV doing a lot on the Watergate break-in anniversary, I noticed something interesting. People complain that McClure is like Trump, since he is a bully and a self-promoter. However, he seems more like Nixon. Both were smart lawyers and both project a sense of false sincerity and modesty. Nixon was petulant and secretive and only given to carefully worded speeches like McClure.
So, my vote is Nixon not Trump.
He is full of SH-T! He cares about no one but himself! Get rid of him!
I'm sorry I am a county employee and I dont want Lamont and Chuckie choosing my medical procedures and how my health is handled.
Let's keep health care private. No poorly run and staffed employee health center. Like Gracedale.
Maybe explore having retirees use it.
McClure is an idiot. What exactly will this do that health insurance doesn’t?? Just another way to waste tax payer money
Yet he stonewalls council on a pay study. He refuses to fund a study with his millions while he writes checks to anyone who can boost his numbers. Employees don't want a company doctor. What is this 1910?
