According to University of Florida epidemiologist Cindy Prins, there's been no sudden spike in Covid cases despite crowded stadiums at Florida's football games. She indicates this could change with cooler, drier weather. She postulates that the low transmission rate is the result of the following: (1) they are outdoor events: (2) Covid does not linger in humid air; (3) most people sit with the people in their immediate circle; (4) the Delta variant is on the wane; and (5) vaccination rates are high.
She does have the following recommendations:
"“Number one, you want to be vaccinated. That is the most critical part of protecting yourself and others and being able to do these activities and feel comfortable. I would definitely wear a mask. I would certainly wear it while I'm waiting to get into the stadium with other people, I'd wear it when I was going to the concession stand. For me, I would still wear it during the game. Some people may feel more comfortable if they're seated and they know that people around them are vaccinated, but otherwise, keep that mask in place and be vaccinated.”

Yes, a RECOMMENDATION!
Not a law, a mandate, an edict, a demand, a requirement, a qualifier to be a real human. But, a recommendation. No problem. Ignore at your OWN risk.

IN Florida it is know that Desantis had numbers skewed numerous times and now the same things is probably happening on campuses. In a dditon if the student is test off campus it does not show on the the colleges numbers nor if they are tested on campus do they have to release those numbers publicly.
After Florida beat Tennessee, Sean Sorrick, 20, of Naples, a junior studying psychology, said he felt sick afterward. The school said nearly 89,000 attended that game. He believes he caught a cold that was circulating on campus.
“I got the cold that everybody else has got that is going around,” he said. “It was fun when I was there, but now I’m paying the price for it.”
Sorrick, who days later said he was feeling better, said he wasn’t tested, despite the university’s rules saying he should. “Unless what I have gets worse, I’m not going to get tested. I think that’s what a lot of people are experiencing. Unless they’re really, really sick, I don’t think people are going to get tested.”

10:39, no one says you have to get vaccinated. So, if that's your choice, fine. However, it's also true that your employer has the right to protect its other employees by keeping you away from them. It's also true that business owners have the right to protect its other customers by keeping you away from them.
Or do you believe in rights only for yourself? That's certainly how it looks to me.
11:59 - Not at all! Idid get the vaccine, and I do wear a mask on private property if required. I consider myself to be safe in the presence of others who might not have done the same. You must not, so adjust. I’m retired from employment for 16 years now, so that’s no longer a concern. I can always choose to avoid any business that makes demands I don’t agree with. I really don’t need to fly anywhere, either, but do have a couple flights coming up. Maybe those will be my last.
There is just too much disinformation out there about this issue. But, it’s on ME to determine what’s best for ME. What someone else decides is best for them is none of my business.
If its abortion "killing a baby", getting a sex change because you feel differently today,or anything that the left says is a choice, its a choice. But not getting a shot for a virus that 99.9 percent of the people that contract it live is not. You must be MANDATED!!! I know a percentage die and that is horrible. Thousands of people ARE moving to Florida every day from other states. There is a heavy exit of homeowners from California, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut. Florida and Texas are both very attractive now. I plan to remain in Pennsylvania. But, it’s nice to have other options as Pennsylvania continues to fall due to bad government.

6) CDC and Census numbers show that very, very few people without significant comorbidities were ever affected by COVID in the first place. You'd need morbidity and mortality to increase by an order of magnitude to even be noticeable in most demographic segments.
Florida is a failed state waiting to fall into the gulf and ocean. They have a policy to pass along infrastructure costs to their local landowners. My aunts taxes went from 7000 to 16000 for a few years while they redid roads and water systems in her neighborhood.
This post is intended to show that Covid-19 might not be a problem for masked and vaccinated people at outdoor sporting events. It is not intended to make any conclusions about Florida as a whole or to drift into the politics that has enveloped this issue. If you do not see your comment, this is why.
