Despite its disastrous debut in last year's election, Northampton County officials are sticking with the ExpressVote XL voting system. As many as a third of these machines - a hybrid touch screen and paper ballot - were hypersensitive, which made it difficult for some voters to make selections. In addition, the system had been improperly programmed. Election Systems and Software, the manufacturer of this system, has assured the County these problems are now resolved and should pose no issues during the Presidential Primary on April 28.
Voter Registrar Amy Cozze, however, has already conducted several public demonstrations of the voting system in which voters can try out the system for themselves. The following ExpressVote XL demos are scheduled:
March 6: 9:00–11:00AM, Slate Belt Senior Center, 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor, PA 18013
March 6: 6:00–9:00PM, “First Fridays” Banana Factory, 25 W 3rd Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015

If this election is as bad as the last one, even Dertinger can't save her. She will have to go.
All presidential elections are a challenge, but there will be no disaster. The County is doing everything it can to ensure that all registered voters can cat their ballots. If the election is a disaster, McClure will be a one-term Exec. He knows this. I believe it will go as smoothly as a presidential can go.
Vote absentee to make the marvelous machines work. What a shitty county government we have.
BO assures us there will be no disaster......it will go as smoothly as a presidential can go. McClueless has assured all of us that the machines are fixed. Cozy is assuring voters and scheduling training sessions for the new, used-once, fixed machines. County is doing everything to ensure voters can cast their ballots. Forgive the skepticism, but Let’s hope all these assurances are authentic and not smoke and mirrors.
No nearby visit for the people in Walnutport/Northampton?

Avoid the crowds and the possibility of a tech glitch. Req. an absentee ballot and sit back and relax.
Another reason why us "westerners" should petition to join Lehigh County.
2.9 million for machines...only $300,000 given by state
$311,000 for epoll books...
Who’s paying for this and do we get any refunding if they fail again?
If she doesn't succeed in this role she makes incredible videos... I mean really really incredible videos......
