Nevada Turnout Is Reassuring, If You Are a Dem

Conservative columnist Bernard Goldberg has written he'll refuse to vote in the Presidential race because he detests Donald Trump. "It's not his policies that annoy the heck out of me, It's he who annoys the heck out of me." He also refuses to vote for any of the numerous Democrats running. My fear is that many Democrats feel that way as well. Turnout in Iowa was hardly reassuring. In New Hampshire, 300,622 ballots were cast. That has been touted as a "record," but is actually well below the 542,000 turnout in 2016. The turnout in Nevada, however, suggests voters are energized. According to Vox, it should exceed the numbers in 2008 and 2016. That's one bright ray of sunshine in a fog of weak Democrats.

None of the democrat candidates have charisma, they in the most part are unsure of their positions, either because they feel that they have to oppose any position that trump takes for fear that they will be on the same side of Trump on any issue. They only are sure that they hate and despise Trump. Sanders is sure of his positions, is consistent and unwavering. His supporters are excited, no other democrat has a serious following. It is sad that there are no better candidates and it does not appear that their any in the wings.

Much like the question raised at a group of divorced women asking " Where are all the good men" the answer " they are all married". In politics the answer may be "They are all Republicans.

I believe both Iowa and Nevada use the Caucus System of voting. Quite different from most state elections. Super Tuesday coming up in a couple weeks will be a better indicator.

NONE of the present Democrat candidates have a real chance to defeat Trump without election cheating. Because of this, I expect someone brand new to emerge through a brokered convention.

The last debate did increase interest. The debate tonight should be even more entertaining. They will need to attack Bloomberg and now the big mo leader Sanders. they may actually attempt to push Biden out too. It may be last chance for some. Super Tuesday will be the end for some. Sanders will stay, Bloomberg will stay. The rest will likely be toast. Just think, a Marxist and a republican oligarch. What the hell is happening?

It is obvious, that the Russians are stacking the election. Forget about helping Trump, just create chaos in the Democrat primary.

I am amazed that there are no excited democrats whooping it up over their primary contest. Come on people get your shit together or Trump is going to bury us.

Unsure why you keep posting incorrect numbers for the New Hampshire Democratic Primary turnout when you could easily verify the actual numbers

"In New Hampshire, 300,622 ballots were cast. That has been touted as a "record," but is actually well below the 542,000 turnout in 2016."

Your 542,000 number is for the total vote in 2016. There were approx 250,000 Dem votes cast and 290,000 Republican votes cast in the 2016 New Hampshire Primary.

The correct numbers, for the last competitive Democratic primaries in New Hampshire are listed below and are easily verifiable through a simple google search. As is clearly shown, 2020 exceeds 2008 and 2016, but taking into account population increase it is probably equivalent with 2008.

2008 - 287,557
Top Candidates
112,404 Clinton 104,815 Obama 48,699 Edwards

Nevada comparison is questionable...2008 to 2020
The population of Nevada has grown by approximately 550,000 since 2008. Growth in active Dem voters of approximately 150,000. The areas receiving the largest growth being urban and 1/3 of the growth moving in from California.

Russians aren’t working against Democrats, DEMOCRATS are working against Democrats!

In Venezuela, a wealthy oil exporter with modern universities and hospitals, 85% of business have closed, the inflation rate is 10,000,000% and the average citizen has lost 17 pounds, as they wait in lines for basic staples. Was their socialism poorly implemented? Or was it implemented perfectly and bitten by socialism's fundamental flaw: the inability to establish the actual value of things when personal property rights are diminished or eliminated. It all sounds so good in the beginning.

Why would anyone care if President Trump is making his personal inroads in India. Didn’t Biden do the same thing as Vice President through his drug and alcohol addled son in the Ukraine. Give me a break !!! In this country, at the present time, people care about their portfolios. That is unless your Crazy Bernie Sanders using other citizens money and who wants to take from the middle class and pay of student debt and healthcare. Did I hear he also wants to establish a universal daycare system? Where’s the money coming from with that proposition, again the middle class? Or could he just be saying these things to the right crowds to get elected. He certainly couldn’t answer those questions when they were posed to him by Anderson Cooper in a recent interview. He actually became upset when Cooper questioned the money trail for these projects. You might think by my answer that I’m all for myself, well you would be right, but at least I’m honest.

If it was so wrong for Biden, why is it acceptable for Trump? Or does two wrongs now make a right? You should calm down, put on a kettle, and have a nice cup of tea. You need to let go of that anger man, it's not healthy.

The nation will be tunning in on tonight's clown show to laugh at the assklowns.

Interesting read about New Harmony Indiana, the nation's first socialist experiment. It failed in two years and one of the founders blamed the people (lazy artists and intellectuals) and not the system (that required 100 steps to produce a poorly constructed ham sandwich for the collective. If it weren't for damned people, socialism might just work.

Bernie Sanders is a gift to Rs, who really don't deserve one. These are batshit crazy times.

The man has brought in billions and billions of new dollars through his various initiatives. Between the new tariffs, the big trade deals, the increased shares being paid for by other NATO members, foreign aid cuts, and Mexico paying for thousands of Mexican troops patrolling our southern border from inside Mexico, the money required for an actual wall as been discovered MANY times over.

Then why the 2 Trillion dollar deficit?

Methinks you need to take your own advice.

Senator Enzi reports our Congress is spending 330 billion dollars this year on various federal programs that are NO LONGER AUTHORIZED to receive money. Think about that. Right there is enough funding to build 10 border walls!

Final #s for Nevada
2020 105,195
2008 118,000
Nevada's population increased by over a half a million with a increase of at least 150,000 new active Dem voters.

I wouldn't call this enthusiasm. Fake news is more like it.

I would think it would be reassuring to both democrats and republican, and to all others foreign and domestic who visit Nevada for the purpose of gambling, that Nevada can make and honest count, with full disclosure that the House of Cards is rigged against you.

I would think in would be reassuring to Bernie Sanders supporters as well as democrats in general that given an honest count Bernie Sanders overwhelmingly wins.

I would think Vegas odds are, Bernie Goldberg and VOX news are seen by voters of all strips as artificially placed on the political landscape and are irrelevant.

Bernie Goldberg is voting for Trump 100%...he's just trolling to get quoted.

"I'm a conservative Never Trumper look at me, read my book, print my column, quote me" that's all he got.

From the most green-haired pierced-eared lefty, to the most up-tight button-down conservative this guy is useless.

This is how jokes get written.
