According to her announcement, Ann was Born and raised in Wind Gap and a graduated of Pen Argyl Area High School. She also earned a Biology degree from Moravian College, and an MBA from Villanova University. She has lived in the Bath area for 22 years, and she and her husband are the parents of two children attending college and middle school. The Flood family also has one angel child, Lauren, who passed away in 2007.
Ann is the the Founder and CEO of the Lauren’s Hope Foundation, whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for brain injured children and their families. This foundation has helped children receive life-saving care at The Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Children’s Hospital’s
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
She also serves her community as the President to the Board of Directors for the Greater Bath Area Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Governors for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
She is also a catechist at Holy Family Catholic Church, where she helps fifth grade students prepare for confirmation.
So far as I know, this is her first foray into the world of politics.

Wow. An actual, real-life citizen is attempting election to our citizen legislature. In a world of career do-nothings, she already has my attention and the inside track to my vote. Uncle Remus' vicious comment in support of career politicians is not at all surprising. The disgusting incumbent class and their faceless toadies, like Remus, don't like outsiders upsetting the swamp bucket they slurp from. I imagine he's on the dole and doesn't want his gravy train to end - lest he has to get off his ass and do work for the first time in his miserable, wasted life of leeching from the productive.

I'd say that if Dems want this seat, they should look for another candidate besides Zrinski. I thought Dean Donaher was great. In her two years on Council, Zrinski has given Rs enough material, from her lies about Bethlehem Tp to her claim that no one wants to die in Bath, to make her a clear loser. This is without knowing she has been sanctioned for perjury.
If Flood runs a decent campaign,m she wins. But she must remember that people like to be asked.
So being the President of the Bath Chamber of commerce makes her qualified to run? To me it sounds like another spineless Hahn. She wont do anything other than show up at ribbon cutting ceremonies and other PR events which is a joke.
Where is the candidate that isn't afraid to fight for the residents and won't be a puppet...
She is just as "qualified" as anyone who resides in the district. Zrinski is a puppet beholden to special interests and will only fight for them.
What's her position on having an Independent Redistricting Commission for the state?
I gave up on Hahn a couple years ago due to her complete and total cowardly inaction on the issue.
I have no idea what her views are at this juncture.
Ann Flood may want to consider doing research on her opponent, Tara Zrinski. In a similar article, her opponent stated she raised her three sons in the Bethlehem area. This statement is false, her first two sons, from one father, were raised by both parents with shared custody. She threw the youngest son out of the house when he was in 7th grade and stated she didn’t want him there. Why? He wanted to spend additional time with his father. His father raised him alone from that point forward and that son is now a United Sates Marine.
Why is this information important; public records will show she was held in contempt of court for perjury by Judge Emil Giordano during child custody hearings; yet she still continues to lie.
I love how people think there is specific qualifications to be a politician. You do realize there is literally ZERO qualifications that make you a politician. It's a freaking popularity contest, that's it. You want to know what makes someone a good politician, someone who is willing to work hard for the community regardless of political affiliation. Most of you "politicos" are to stupid to realize that since you're looking for official "qualifications". It's no wonder even politicians think they are Gods, people think they actually have power. Newsflash they work for you!
Zirinski is all about herself. She has added nothing to local government. She is no leader just a screamer saying look at me. She spends little time on county issue and instead drones on about things that have nothing to do with the county. She sees herself in the White House.
Her personnel life is at least an indication of her inability to manage anything. She paints herself as the perennial victim of a ruthless society run by men.
As a candidate in that District she should do poorly. She is an ultra liberal dem beholden to every ultra feminists group out there. There are some dem candidates that could win in that area but not her. She doesn't even know the people or cultures of that area.
This may seem harsh but you can see she and her crazy zealot supporters are already thrashing this Ms.Flood. They are cruel and self centered just like the candidate they adore.

You are of course correct, however I would think one would have to at least have a philosophy that government is part of the solution, and not part of the problem, or why, other than for personal gain, would they have anything to do with what they perceive as the problem. Especially if ones philosophy is that the private sector drives the engine of public solutions.
The Slate Belt region is a R stronghold. The county D party simply writes it off as a lost cause. Tara a sacrificial lamb in a long line of such candidates who try fruitlessly to win that seat. The county D party leaders will not support her and will not spend money on a lost cause. Muncy will say this is not true but he's lying.
Good for her. Np one with a brain wants that fraud and phony Zirinski in state office. She does enough damage locally. she screams all the time and is a real nut job.

Tara is not the answer. Worrying about plastic straws and bags are non-starters. Really need to check out Judge Giordano's courtroom records. Shows lack of integrity. Hopefully the R's will have a roster of candidates to choose from. We need to discuss real issues.

Perhaps one reason may be that they and their supporters believe the government has already gotten too large, bureaucratic and wasteful in time and taxpayer (our) money. Common sense is a rare commodity in government, and getting rarer. Of course, very few have the courage or guts to make the decisions to get to the end goal. No matter what is done now, someone will be affected negatively. Politicians want to upset as few constituents as possible. The government is not the solution to every problem. Recently, I was reading about what a great success it was to have bipartisan support to pass and have signed into law legislation protecting people from annoying robocalls. If lawmakers are slapping themselves on the back after that accomplishment, then we have set the bar way too low. We accept that accomplishment with much fanfare while there remain higher priority issues with which to deal. The government gives us even greater protection from annoying robocalls. Yipee! The government is indeed part of the problem.
