Business Matters To Interview Lead FBI Agent in Fed Ed Takedown

WFMZ-TV69's Business Matters, which features host Tony Iannelli, will be doing a one-on-one interview with retired FBI agent Scott Curtis. He's the G-man who spearheaded a federal investigation into Allentown and Reading corruption, leading to the downfall of both cities' Mayors. The show is being taped December 10, between noon and 1 pm, at The Banana Factory, 315 Columbia St, Bethlehem, Pa.

I will be very interested in what Curtis thinks about the current state of Lehigh Valley government and its players.

I still say that 15years is WAY too long. I hope his current appeal is successful.

As a local concern the Fed Ed "takedown" has been reported thoroughly.

Having the ear of a respected FBI agent, his opinion of the handling of the Jeffery Epstein investigation and how it compares to Ed's investigation, would peak my interests.

Jeffery Epstein received 18 months for raping and trafficking children to the wealthy elite of the world, and then was allowed to continue his enterprise for 11 more years until the Trump administration, when Epstein was arrested and suicided on suicide watch.

On one end of scales of justice is an international pedophilia ring for the wealthy elite run by Epstein that appears to have been protected, in some cases working with/for government officials and agencies, and on the other end is Fed Ed.

I am not defending ED, like most politicians he's a nickel and dime grifter, but standing Ed next to Epstein, in this context 15 years seems long.

Will Tony ask why Mike Fleck got the lesser of all sentences when he was the mastermind behind the whole debacle?
Will he ask why Allison Fleck isn't in jail for income tax evasion (she signed the forms)
Will he ask why Fleck was given a sweetheart deal and if ed was the true target or just the easy one

I see the problem with white collar crimes . Assets should be seized ,pensions should not be paid and if someone defrauded the tax payers ,well the family should in effect go to bare bones. Our forefathers would have hung them post haist ,and it would have been a working deturant . We all now should be looking to push turm limits ,both Dems and Rs . Nobody should be allowed to be in congress 30 years .This position should be held by a good citizen for a few years then made to move off. Then trickle down to state levels and cities ,and boros and townships . There should be No big pensions,and gift reporting should get straight. No free trips ,1099 s issued or somebody going to go to jail . These issues are why we have problems now.

If that dumbass would have cooperated and plead guilty from day one, resigned immediately and made numerous public apologies I bet he would have been looking at 3-5 years maximum, don't blame the judge blame Pawlowski for the sentence.

In regard to an excessive sentence, I believe that there were other city transactions, which although not part of the trial, were not in the taxpayer's best interest. Don't cry yet, so far he hasn't been there even for a year.

I have read what the issue concerning the Bethlehem cops. To be perfectly honest, they did absolutely nothing wrong. If anything the County screwed up completely. The bought the house fairly when the county had the same opportunity. They have a updated and valid CO. They have a renter paying rent. That property with the renter in it is worth every penny of $85,000. Look at the comps for that area. It's a fair number they are asking for. I think thats why the County Exec made the offer he did on the spot.

15 years was far too little. He deserved much more.

He turned Allentown into a partisan shit-hole, trying to personally ruin anyone who publicly disagreed with him on even the smallest issue.

The fact that he still can't accept his punishment shows his lack of remorse.

He should spend every day of his current sentence behind bars, and still more as an example for any other politician who even thinks of soiling their office the way he did.

Why did the cops use a fake person(corporation) for their transaction? Was the sole purpose of the company to create a legal mechanism? Would having inside information about city affairs make such an investment questionable or outright illegal in their own names? Not exactly the kind of people you can trust with a "stingray".

don't have a dog in this particular fight, but creating a shell corporation for the purchase of a rental property is pretty routine. folks with one or more rentals often have a separate corporation for each entity
