I've had two stories this week about elected Slate Belt officials. The first involves Bangor School Board VP Steve Bussenger. He had to be escorted out of his own gym during a basketball loss to Moravian Academy after refusing to heed a referee's ejection. I noted I had never seen him act out at any of the basketball games I attended. The second story involves Roseto Borough Council member Dan Engle. He's running for NorCo Council, and wanted me to tell everyone. His campaign manager provided no biographical information, not even a photo. I had some fun, admittedly at his expense, with his own Facebook intro. He calls himself "big dark and handsome .. if you like big." Both stories were fair. But the comments in each story make clear that both of these guys are thin-skinned.
Engle, who promised in his campaign statement to bring transparency to Northampton County, blocked me on Facebook. He failed to provide any meaningful information, and then his supporters accused me of "stalking" for trying to find out on my own. So much for transparency.
Bussenger supporters blamed the ref and everyone else. He recently sold his home. He was going to use his rental property as a new address, but too many eyes are on him now.
If you are or want to be an elected official, expect scrutiny. That's what happens in a democratic government.

What is it with politicians? Is it the age of Trump or something else? They must have thin skins. You have had some fun wit many past and current local politicians. Do they all block you??
This guy will have a tough time if he is this thin skinned, ask Trump. Have all the current local politicians blocked you from access? Are there any that actually are good sports or are they all thin skinned dolls?
Most are pretty good sports, but some are ridiculous.
Dam quickly became a punchline precisely because of his thin skin. If he'd rolled with the punches and shared the laugh, Bernie would probably campaigned for the guy via this blog. Working man D in an R district etc .... Unforced error. What a goof.
"Dam" lol. So much bigness.
It appears from my searching that Dan's campaign manager is in fact the same person who ran Dave Mattei's failed attempt to unseat Sate Rep. Joe Emrick a few years ago. Here we go again..
It appears both Steve "School Board role model" Bussenger and Dan "Mr. Big" Engle are possible cousins here in the Slatebelt. They both are JELLYFISH! Yes both have thin skin, NO spine and talk and poop out of the same mouth. Who knew? Could these be cousins and fit the gene pool here in Bangor?
once you run for a political position you definitely have some issues every politician in this country is a me person and for some unknown reason they think they know what good for everybody
Like the old addage says "If ya can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen"

"Welcome All to the brave new world of Democrat Identity Politics;..."
It is not only democrats.
A school board member gets escorted out of the gym and makes a spectacle of himself. A candidate blocks you after your cheesy article and you seem more upset over the candidate hurting your feelings? How did you know he blocked you?? Looks like a certain blogger needs a thicker skin.
Ups @ The End of Campaign.
All time - LOW - for you Bernie!
Bernie, I see assklownz having a field day blocking the Lehighvalley premiere reel news and its editor. Seems as if these its wannabes are acting like the silicones anal sliding mechanisms for there rectal tendencies!
Union type. They always talk tough then stab you in the back. I was on the receiving end of union cowardice twice. On a job in college I told the union electrician we would not be waiting for him to literally flip the switch on our welder. It was a 72 hour plant shutdown with a non-flexible deadline. Next morning our welding rod cans were full of water. In Philly working a job that required a 40 hour HAZWOPER cert. My backhoe owner operator was a one man show trying to feed his family. He didn't have unemployment to fall back on like our union pals. I told the union rep this was a job that required the 40 hour training he huffed off as we had no union cards to produce. Next morning the backhoe had four flat tires. Talk about thin skin. These guys have no place in local government. And yes I'm painting with a broad brush.
Bernie harms pet pigs
I want to see you do his job. I worked with them and know the work they do. I want to see you keep up.
Yeah, Roseto Borough Council and Bagor school board. Tough gigs. Lol.
I mean construction, hard work, and dangerous. Boiler makers.
What does being in a union have to do with his ability to run for an elected seat? Many proud union workers in the area, including those who teach your children.
