Records at the courthouse reveal that on October 24, Houck moved from Bucks County to Forks Tp. This was about a month before Morganelli announced he had decided against another term as District Attorney. It's no sham purchase. He encumbered the property with a hefty mortgage, meaning he has moved here for real. He obviously did this to be eligible to meet the residency requirement for the top prosecutor's office, and he does. To some, this makes him a carpetbagger.
As I indicate in my story below, this is really a nonissue. Houck has been trying cases in this county for years. He knows the lay of the land.
The real question, both for him and the other candidates, is whether he would make a good DA. I believe he would.

Where would he be living if John would've decided to run for reelection?
He'd be living in Northampton County whether Morganelli ran again for DA or not. He's a tough, no-nonsense career prosecutor dedicated to the job. We would be lucky to have him as our DA. Despite what the other candidates say, experience means everything in the DA as the chief law enforcement officer for the county. Take a look at his career and track record, then take a look at those of the other candidates. There's no comparison. It's not a position where you can "learn on the job" no matter what the other inexperienced candidates may say. Too much is at stake for the safety of Northampton County to entrust the job to someone with little or no experience in law enforcement. How many of the existing heavy-hitter, really experienced prosecutors would choose to remain in the office with any of the other inexperienced candidates? Probably none. There is too much at stake to risk the position to an inexperienced candidate. He's got my vote.

Without a shadow of a doubt Terry is more then qualified should be and I hope our next DA.
