The Good Cop
The Morning Call this morning paints a pretty portrait of Allentown police Sgt. Richard Mongilutz. It's also accurate. I've personally seen this guy in action on Hamilton Street, where he has been invaluable to small businesses that struggle every day. He is one of the Queen City's shining lights.

Perhaps you might consider hosting "jobs" on your blog so folks desperate to find work might find a job.
Isn't he married to a locally famous person?
i also know the officer mentioned. as complimentary as the article was, the man actually does even more.
As one who both lives and works in the city, I see Officer Mongilutz all the time. Nice guy, no question. Definitely goes above and beyond call of duty.
He's married to a judge, but let's not hold that against him. :-)

Are you at the Dent event in Hellertown?
Don't know anything about it.
The article states that Officer Mongilutz has an "iconic moustache". Wow!!
love the guy. the fact that he's been there for 37 years is telling... total dedication to the city of allentown. we are lucky to have him.
Officer Mongilutz is everything the article says and more. We could use more like him.
"iconic moustache", must be. He bagged a judge so that moustache must be not only iconic but AMAZING.
Yes, he is top notch and a real asset to the City of Allentown.
This should say a lot because IMO there isn't much to Allentown.
