Reliable sources tell me that Martino may have been taking money from the law firm's till, without letting his partners know. He also has been accused of "borrowing" some of his clients' money, without their permission. He has reportedly denied these accusations.
Martino was first admitted to practice in 1986, and has no record of any disciplinary action. Although the Disciplinary Board still lists his office at the Martino, Karasek and Martino law firm, a drive by the office reveals that his name has been removed.

Whether your source is right or not this time it seems as if this "news" was not urgent enough to publish on a rumor
Things are often enough not as they first seem and this type of career damaging information should not be disseminated without certainty
Jim, This story is accurate, I am reporting it bc Anthony holds an important public position, and the public needs to know. It gives me no pleasure, especially bc I like Anthony. As you know, I lost my license myself over similar behavior. I am not identifying my sources bc there is no need to make them part of the story. It certainly is no rumor.

Jim, What I have is accurate, and I tried to present it in as inoffensive a manner as I could. The more you mention this, the more you force me to write things I do not want to write. I think it is very important that the public knows that a First Assistant Public Defender is under what I am calling an ethical cloud, and that it involves allegations of dishonesty, but do not want to go into more detail. Anthony is, as I am sure you know, a very good person. I know there happens to be an explanation, although it is not a defense.

Private use of public money is very common practice here in the lehighvalley. By all in the public sector!
If you are reporting on this, why haven't you reported on the reprimand NorCo Judge Giordano recently received for his participation at a political event, which is a big no-no for a judge?
Bernie will pick and chose those stroies, "he is conmpelled" to report to the people. He has not reported a host of stories that are far more than rumors, involving local government and officials.

I don't know or care about Anthony's party. What I do know is that he has always been a class act with me, and he did a great job as Council Solicitor. I really do not like writing about this.
So if this turns out to not be true he can sue you for slander?
When you print an article like that about someone you had better be darn sure it is correct.

As for the newspapers, I do not dictate what they write about and they don't dictate to me. But your assertion is wrong. I have broken many stores here that were later picked up by the newspapers. You likely know this. I think your real problem is with me, not this story.
Who elected you "Mr. Doom and Gloom"? You break these stories and you always say "I really like this guy and I hate to do this but". If you hate it so much why report it. When I was going thru bad time Anthony offered help without ? Anthony wud not take yor shirt he'd give you one this man loves his sons an law in that order he wud never do anything to effect any harm to his boys I'll have to see absolute clear evidence to ever beleave what's bein said he wud never do it his sons r to important to him
