The Greatest of All Olympians
King Gustav: "You, sir, are the greatest athlete in the world."
Jim Thorpe: "Thanks, King."
Although he was surpassed by other Olympians two decades later, Jim Thorpe still inspires. His life represents what is great, and what is sad, about each of us.

He wasn't only the greatest Olympian, but also the greatest athlete. Sadly, he died addicted and penniless. Your last sentence says it all.
A must see Movie, with Burt Lancaster tells the Story of Triumph and tragedy.
He was a true American Hero and he deserves to stay in Penna. where he was loved at the Carlisle Indian School and was Coached by Pop Warner.
just another loser with a silly little hick town named after him so the present residents can feed off of him. what a joke
