Most candidates have long realized realized that a county political party has very little impact on an election. Now that patronage jobs have largely been eliminated, local parties have devolved into little more than social clubs. Candidates who win rely on their own organizations and money to get their message out. While local parties do little to help candidates, they still can hurt them. Failed NorCo Exec and GOP Chair candidate Steve Lynch demonstrated that with a Facebook Live on Sunday night. Instead of unleashing his vitriol on Democratic candidates, he attacks fellow Republicans. His soap opera does nothing to help Republican candidates, but it does make party regulars less willing to work for them.
Lynch has gone after former party chair Lee Snover numerous times, referring to her in some of his videos as a Nazi. He's managed to alienate most of the goon squad who accompanied him when he ran for Exec. He's at odds with current tea party Chair Tom Carroll, who like Lynch is yet another drama queen. He's angry with the host (female, of course) of a conservative Facebook page for blocking him, something he has done routinely to others and without cause. Nazareth police had to be called when Lynch disrupted a Labor Day meeting. And on Sunday night, he attacked local conservative blogger Margie Mandell (yet another woman) because she dared to link to this page on her own personal blog. She must be a super secret Democrat, he brays. As ridiculous as that is, he and his cult followers lashed out with hundreds of extremely vulgar comments about Mandell, coupled with claims about her personal life that are demonstrably false.
Let me explain how I know Mandell, whom I've actually met in person once for about five minutes. She is a far-right conservative. Ideologically, I have nothing in common with her. I heard from her and Beverly Hernandez when they were running for GOP County Chair and Vice Chair. I published their letters seeking support.
Mandell was a Lynch supporter. She helped him in his Exec race. In fact, she manned (or is it womanned?) one of the polls for him on election day. But soon after that race was over, she noticed she was unable to access his Facebook page. He had blocked her. Not for anything she said. She had decided to support Kevin Dellicker instead of Lisa Scheller in the Congressional primary. He is more conservative than Scheller, and unlike her, does not have three factories in China.
Instead of realizing that people of good will can and do reach different conclusions, Lynch denied her access to his page. She dared confront Lynch after a local county meeting, and the Lynch mob went after her.
Nazareth resident Benjamin "Bengy" Jacques was at that meeting with Lynch and was present when Lynch exploded at Mandell. After the meeting and altercation with Mandell, he posted this on Facebook: "Watch your back when you create enemies out of those you once called friends."
Then the intimidation, blasting, obliterating and bullying started.
"Who we taking out?" asked Wally Oswald. "And who's [sic] car we taking?" Oswald is from Northampton and was part of the Lynch mob.
Melanie Heilman, a rabid Lynch supporter from Bethlehem Tp, refers to Mandell, not by her name, but as a "b...." "That's the one problem."
Then Jamie M Lichner joins in. He may not even have been at the meeting, but was offering a final solution. "[A]re they little problems or big problems, meaning are the 5.56 problems or .308 problems or,…. Do we have .50BMG to problems, You got problems, I’ll solve it, check out the beat while my DJ revolves it."
"What do you recommend for unicorns?" asks Matthew Walter. Mandell has purple hair, and Walker was joking about it.
Todd Wallach (from Nazareth) writes, "Be kind to everyone, but be ready to kill anyone." I'm sure James Mattis would be disgusted to see his quote perverted to terrorize someone.
Most of these myrmidons have since drifted out of the Lynch orbit. They are no longer of use to him.
This incident wounded Lynch, both politically and personally. Last week, he sought his revenge by labeling Mandell as some kind of Democratic operative for linking to my page. Let me explain how that works. I link to numerous blogs. Whether I agree with them is irrelevant. You should have multiple points of view before reaching a conclusion. Not in the Lynch echo chamber. Only his views may be expressed.
Mandell has responded to Lynch and his goons with the essay Steve Lynch - The Great Divider. In this story, she notes that she linked to me on her personal blog, not some official county GOP blog. She did so because "I like the idea of allowing American citizens to read every angle of politics and to practice a little thing I value very dearly- our 1st Amendment right to free speech." She removed the link as the Lynch mob went apoplectic over a link to me.
I do admit I have a particular set of skills. I can really piss people off, often without trying.
Mandell goes on to explain that she first reached out to me at the suggestion of former party chair Lee Snover, who now is strangely allied with the very same Lynch she knows is nuts. Unlike Lynch , Lee Snover is honest. But she is sneaky that way.
Mandell also responds to some of the vicious attacks coming from other women. Some of it is actually defamatory. Hence, I refuse to re-publish these sordid lies, although Lynch has.
So once again, Mandell has been victimized by a crew of cyber-bullies. This is what the local Republican party has become.

As you stated well, outside of their little social club (do any of the sullen losers even drink anymore?), most Rs don't know these people breathe air. I wouldn't know any of these clowns if I didn't read about them here, and I'm an outlier. Nobody with whom I discuss politics, local or otherwise, reads this blog. I swear I've tried to get them to. But that's the political reality on the street where the political nerds and nuts don't live.

Steve Lynch and Melanie Heilman have gone off the deep end ever since the GOP reorganization meeting where they both came in dead last for the positions of chair and vice chair.

Steve has been quiet for the last two days, posting nothing but pro candidate info and body building posts. I think he either knows he screwed up or his master Lee Snover told him to shut it down after she was outed for being the source of contact between you and Mandell
MastriaNO is bringing his cosplay entourage to town. No doubt the press will be blocked from recording his remarks. Maybe Lynch will bring 20 strong men?
Steve is just the sacrificial anode for Snover and her schemes. It is a virtual certainty that she always knew Steve would self destruct eventually and is just keeping him around to absorb the heat and do her dirty work.
Between Steve’s latest live on Mandell and his behavior on Labor Day, Steve has managed to lose support of virtually the entire party.
The more elections he loses, the more unhinged he becomes. His popularity is sinking faster than a Trump boat on a lake in Texas.
I had difficulty with this one simply bc I was really put off by some of the outrageous statements about Mandell from Lynch, Kay Mary, Melanie Heilman and others. The most sexist comments came from women. Originally, I was going to take the defamatory statements and rebut them, one by one. But by doing so, I'd be reposting the defamation and increasing the damage. I decided to just speak generally about some of this very real cyber bullying.
Suffice it to say that many of these statements cast Mandell in a false light and are intended to damage her reputation. They were made knowing they were false and with reckless disregard for the facts. Lynch, who likes to brag he is fact-based, posted a completely false statement about Mandell, and one that is intended to damage her. He and his wife, who parrots him i9n the comments, should be sued for defamation.
There are currently three cults in the NorCo GOP.
First, there is the Lynch cult or lynch mob, as I like to call them. This is a cult of the leader that vilifies all views that differ from Lynch. He very badly needs an other upon which to focus his hate. It could be Democrats in general, specific Democrats like myself or Republicans he considers Democrats in disguise. That has been pretty much everyone not on his bandwagon. This cult is losing its steam as Lynch has been self-destructing with more and more intense attacks. At a Labor Day meeting at a private restaurant, he was so outrageous the owner asked him to leave. The owner had to call Nazareth police bc he refused the owner's order to leave his business.
Second, there is the Lee Snover cult. This is also a cult of the leader that vilifies all views that differ from Snover. I never understood why Lynch hated Snover so much bc they are so much alike. To her credit, Lee has never been dishonest with me, but as Mandell's post makes pretty clear, Lee is sneaky. And right now, she is using Lynch bc she has long hated Glenn Geissinger, the current chair. Her lemmings include Nancy Dienel, Beverly Hernandez aqnd her sister, Maude Hornick. I am disappointed in all of them bc they all previously wrote and spoke about how destructive Lynch is, but are incapable of thinking for themselves and now will preach a diametrically different message bc their leader wants that message out there.
In comments to the Lynch rant, Maude Hornick claims I am evil or something of that sort. When she wanted her daughter to intern at the DA's office, however, she asked me to recommend her to then DA Morganelli, which I did. She got the position, too. I was not so evil then, I guess. Nancy Dienel and I were fellow plaintiffs in the suit against the NorCo bond. I have always spoken highly of Beverly, whom I consider a bit ditzy but a person of firm conviction. Those three turn on a dime when their Leader commands, even if it means they are contradicting statements each of them has made.
The third cult is the cult of the tea party. This is apparently the cult in charge of the NorCo GOP, but only by the slimmest of margins. Their chair, Tom Carroll, previously was allied with Lynch. Carroll is very unstable and prone to outbursts. He banned Dellicker and now is banning Lynch.
It's all quite bizarre. With all this infighting, I suspect Republicans running for office in NorCo are getting shortchanged. While a party offers little help to candidates, I suspect their fighting has made it impossible for them to function effectively. This is one reason why Scheller is going to lose a race she should win. She needs to win big in NorCo and I do not see that in the cards for her.

I feel sorry for politicians like Lisa Scheller who rely upon people like Steve Lynch to carry their banner. She sees Steve as this great patriot who in reality is guano loco. I wasn't downplaying his threat. It clearly is. I simply thought it was funny that he was acting "all gangsta" by talking about different types of guns/ammo and then gets all Vanilla Ice at the end.
These are very unstable people and they should all be held criminally or civilly accountable.

Her personal and highly offensive slander is more befitting a rabid raccoon than an elected official. She does not reflect the views of sane and reasonable Republicans, nor does she publicly behave as such.
Norco had a chance to break the cycle of career politicians running our county into the dirt but instead of a fit Christian 2nd amendment protector they went for a crimson hued ambulance chaser whose policies eliminated many beloved elders from our community. Because today's racial disparities have roots reaching back to that timeframe and mentality. It's self-serving for white people to acknowledge "how far we've come." But, many rappers are products of environments where oppression and systemic racism is not being addressed. Street culture in urban environments is not for some people to understand. A simple docket search from pike county under Pritchard’s name will confirm he is now wrangling his second DUI charge which has been upgraded to an M1 due to his level of intoxication at the time of arrest and second offense.
If you notice, Lynch’s content showed a significantly increased references to god, faith, Christians and his own spirituality only after losing his election as county executive. It seems clear that he was trying to rebrand himself as Christian conservative to develop a more palatable image.

This is a reference to Aly Warner, who fought against some of the Covid mitigation in the schools and has been a supporter of parent choice. Interestingly enough, Lynch did not attack this woman (sometimes it’s tough to keep track of all the women he bullies) until she was appointed to the Executive Committee of the NCRC.
