It was unusually hot, but what a crowd! There must have been several thousand fans, and all of them were sharing the same ten square feet of shade.
The difference in demographic make up between Allentown and Williams Township is very apparent. But on Sunday, everyone was unusually united on both sides of the field. Williams Township residents and East siders talked about their kids and congratulated each other during the day. One of Williams' coaches actually came over to the Huskies' side of the field with cup cakes. When kids would finish their organized game, they managed to find each other and started playing pick up games that seemed a lot more fun than the ones in which refs and coaches were involved.
It was a nice thing to see. Williams Township is teaching its kids about more than sports.
