This has the Lehigh Valley's former member of Congress, Susan Wild, who now is calling herself Suzy Ellis for some strange reason, really ticked off. Here's what she said on Facebook: "Bob Brooks decided to just not show up, and I have it on good authority that he ghosted Tom at the last minute. This is disqualifying, IMHO. One, the voters deserve every bit of information that they can get on these candidates. Two, who does Bob Brooks think he is? This smacks of ENTITLEMENT. Third, and just as important in my view, DON’T DISS JOURNALISTS. We in the Lehigh Valley are fortunate that LVNews stepped up and filled a void in news for us. I’m appalled by this behavior."
While I'd hardly rely on Wild or her identity politics, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Brooks would have to answer questions, not only about that judgment and his attempts to dodge it, but would need to explain his questionable financial disclosure. He'd need to explain some of his bizarre social media posts claiming that Obama "sucks" and supporting positions normally associated with MAGAs. He'd also have to explain why he was raising money for Lamont McClure before stabbing him in the back and running himself.
As I've noted before, he's shady.

While you are a MAGA type fanatic for McClure. There are people who can change their mind. Once Brooks learned everything about him and how he treated county employees, retirees, etc. He realized he was not who you and others make him out to be. Brooks believed he could represent the people better. The way the McClure trolls are savaging other candidates and their supporters on the internet, it is no surprise he is losing support.
Bob Crooks is the worst. That snow plow business he’s always bragging about. He stole it out from under a fellow fire fighter. Ask Crooks how he got his start in the business.
Well, Obama does suck, so that’s just a point of information.

While this post is intended to harm Brook's chances, it likely accomplishes the opposite. You're a predictable old scold and Wild/Ellis/Granny Clampett is a handicap parking thief and doddering loser. You both have that old person stench and it's time to move on and get your affairs in order. Instead, you're yelling at kids to get off the lawn you don't have and never earned. Brooks is certainly scummy. But he still has more integrity than either of you old farts. He has all the right enemies. Stop helping him.
Suzy Ellis is a total whack job but she is right about Crooksy. First question, why did second wife sign first wife’s name ? Second question, what kind of weirdo marries two women with the same name ?
It is painful to actually agree with SW, ( I can't bring myself to state its name.) But it makes no difference. You have a crook, a carpetbagger, a failed exec and I really have no idea what the other ones claim to shame is. RM wins handily, the Ds cry in their milk and SW still pouts as she reflects on her lack of influence.
Wild is no leader of any kind glad she out.

On a related matter, today’s Morning Call contains a summary of answers to questions posed to the 4 candidates. The article presents the questions and answers without identifying who is making the response. One of the dumbest articles ever posted in that newspaper - and that’s saying a lot.
All of my neighbors that are in public labor unions have Crooksy's signs in their yards, this guy would not be a good representative for all people in this district.
Brooks is a buffoon. My guess is it's partly not wanted to answer questions on the family drama but also that he won't come across as intelligent which he's not. Politics has gotten so bad that these are the type of people we have to pick from. Not many sane and normal people want the nonsense of being a politician.
2 minutes after the ink is dry on Crooks nomination the DOJ is going to investigate his wife for mortgage fraud.

Of all the D candidates for 7, have you seen anyone show up in the past years at local events, understand local issues and have a leadership voice in helping secure farmland, keep taxes low and understand the dynamics of our poverty? yes, there is one. McClure. he is the ONLY one who has actually participated in our local issues. Being a union leader is a far cry from being someone who understands local issues. Same with being a federal prosecutor. County Unions may not like McClure but truly, he is the only one who understands OUR issues.
Any schmuck can run a snow plow business. Only Bob Crooksy knows how to steal one.
