The primary focus of this blog is Northampton County. I'm a Democrat, but I've been highly critical of just about every NorCo Democrat over the years. And not just county Dems. I've taken shots at Easton Mayor Sal Panto, Bethlehem Mayor Willie Reynolds, State Senator Lisa Boscola, State Rep Steve "Diaper Man" Samuelson and even State Rep. Bob Freeman, who has been in office for about 2,000 years. But I'll let you in on a little secret. Compared to Lehigh County, they;'re saints.

Allentown City is a complete mess, and not just the leadership you see and hear about every day. Don't be blinded by the newer building construction, or the daily free promotions of the willfully blind Morning Call. That City is built on lies and deceptions that need to be confronted. No improvement without that. Don't hold your breath . . . . just move out.
I agree all these people are awful but so is this ad quality. This would have looked bad 15 years ago. The GOP and these PACs need to step their game up if they want to make a dent in the vote totals.

Is this video from the 90's? If you're going to produce a smear campaign video you should at least make sure it's rendered enough so you can read what's on the screen.
Here's a fun one... in Lower Macungie Township the LCDC and presumably local Dem group sent out a text message stating folks should vote for their slate to "stop warehouses". The problem? Lower Mac REMOVED warehouses from all areas of the zoning code legally allowed in 2017. The first community to do so. The issue has been solved for 8 years. Was major news at the time.

You may be critical once in a while to Dems- but like the mainstream media, you're tilted heavily towards Dems- 80/20. The last 6 months of the Norco Executive's race is case in point- you've been extremely biased towards an extremely flawed candidate. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that- I hope the fresh air in today's bike ride clears your head.

As a resident of Allentown/ASD and Lehigh County and a Democrat, I'm very worried about the direction of our local party. Matt Tuerk and the all Democrat City Council seem intent on addressing social issues and raising taxes instead of carefully budgeting funds and addressing delivery of key services demanded by tax payers [i.e. police, fire, parks, streets etc.]. Allentown has double the EIT as other municipalities in Lehigh County, double the property transfer tax as other municipalities and a Mayor and Council who seem intent on more and more tax increases. I am very worried they are driving out the remaining middle and upper income home owners in the West End who provide an important element of diversity in Allentown. Suburban voters need to pay attention to County Executive and County Council races, as county government is on the verge of becoming another Allentown. I really, truly hope voters reject Zachary Cole-Borghi (the 1 lb marijuana box guy) who is innocent until proven guilty but looks and seems very guilty.
We suck just not as bad as Lehigh County lol.

It's a beautiful county with a horrible steaming turd in its core. That turd is Allentown. It's flies are spreading to the rest of the county. Its Democrats think its Republicans' children would be better off with their parents dead.
