Zach Cole Borgi is the City of Bethlehem's Right-to-Know Officer. He's also an elected Lehigh County Comm'r who has served since 2022 and is currently seeking re-election as the Democratic nominee in District 3 (parts of Allentown, Bethlehem, Fountain Hill, Catty and Hanover). He's seeking re-election as the Democratic nominee. But he might have to run from inside a jail cell. Several sources at Bethlehem City Hall confirm that he was arrested by federal agents on Thursday and led out of the building in handcuffs.
As of Thursday night, there was no record of Cole Borghi's arrest on PACER, an online tracker of federal cases. This could mean that the indictment is currently sealed. From what I've been able to put together, the charges might be drug-related.
I've found no previous record of criminal activity by Cole Borghi. But he was s
ued for $3,000 in back rent in January and judgment was entered against him.

If it is federal it’s sealed because he’s snitching.
All of us do have rights, including Cole-Borghi. Whether the matter is state or federal, he is entitled to and gets a prompt preliminary arraignment (within hours) before a neutral magistrate who apprises him of the charges and his rights and who sets bail. I was unable to find the charges online, but I have no constitutional right to be informed online. Charges on the state or federal system usually lag at least a day behind. Rest assured that Cole Borghi's rights are being protected. If there is an infringement of them, the government will have to explain and might see the charges bounced. The government has more resources, but defendants have much more rights.

It’s merely a marijuana charge per wfmz. I am a moderate and certainly not in alignment with his far left Politics, but we need to stop criminalizing marijuana. If indeed this is only marijuana, he’s going to end up obtaining a lot more sympathy than bad publicity from all of this.

If the charges are possession with the intent to deliver, then it's clearly more than just a possession charge. Big difference a misdemeanour to a felony. Clown Borghi rode the coattails of Lehigh Valley for All and was closely tied to Amy Zanelli - who herself is facing PA ethics code violations and hopefully will be held accountable for very soon. Borghi, Zanelli, and Cee Cee...is this the best that the Lehigh Valley has to offer? People need to wake up and stop voting for these clowns!
