Easton City Council Member Defuses Potential Violence at President's Day Protest

According to LehighValleyLive, about 125 people gathered in Easton's center circle yesterday at noon for a President's Day protest aimed at Donald Trump's ambitious agenda. As it began to wind down around 1 pm, a self-proclaimed veteran in skinny jeans that might have restricted the blood flow to his brain decided to accost the crowd.

"You got a permit? You got a permit?" he asked several times, telling one of them to "Shut up!" and "Hit me, old man."

At one point he ripped off half of the vest he was wearing in what seemed like a rather poor imitation of a Chippendale. "When you bleed for the flag, let me f---in' know," he added.

Things appeared primed to take a turn for the worse when Easton City Council member Frank Pintabone, who happened to be driving through the circle on his way to City Hall, stopped his truck and intervened. Frank, whose girth rivals that of the entire Philadelphia Eagles offensive line, put himself between the wannabe edge rusher and those who were there to protest Trump. He backed the guy off as effectively as Mekhi Becton did for Jalen Hurts.

Unfortunately for bottom feeders like me, Pintabone defused what could have turned into a physical altercation.

Free speech is a beautiful thing so long as it remains nonviolent.

The Eagke could probably use another offensive lineman, Frank.

Mr. Pitabone wants to be Mayor and maybe he will be a good one. You already have a massive man crush on him, so he has that. This incident is weird. A pickup truck that some say was a rental with Virginia plates stops in the street and this goof jumps out yelling at people at an unannounced ad hoc gathering, during thirty mile an hour wind. Then, Mr. Pitabone happens to be driving around the circle at just the right time to get between the crowd and this guy. Coincidence? Probably. Mr. Pitabone is wide, but I doubt he sacred the guy.

This entire episode just looked and sounds weird.

Whatever were those people protesting?

Were they protesting cutting waste and fraud from our Federal Government, discovering fake non-profit charities stealing their tax dollars, revealing corrupt politicians, removing Mexican and Venezuelan drug lords and their armies from our country, or maybe ending false government propaganda in our daily news sources, both national and local?

Frank tried hockey once. Hit a snapshot so hard, the goalies sister got pregnant

Frank Pintabone is a great guy. We need more people like him in office.

Did these anti-American protesters, most likely government employees or teachers wasting their taxpayer-paid free day off, secure a permit to squat in the circle and mock the working patriots? I guessing not....

Demoncrats on full display. How fitting. They'll never win a place in power again by displaying their TDS in open public areas. Happy President Trump Day!

There are a wholes on both sides of the aisle. But this guy was just looking for a fight. (probably a wife beater) Frank is a well-respected gentleman and did the right thing. Frank is the kind of neighbor I would like to have, not the looney guy.

Pintabone just happened to be driving. What timing.

Seems staged.

About 25 to 30 people protested. But you can promote another lie. You're good at that.

Atta Boy Frank! That’s our future mayor!

I wonder how he was able to find a parking space so close to the demonstration? I usually have to drive around the circle 10 times to find a parking space.

Thank you for reporting on this. It is good to know there are still people like Mr. Pintabone around.

Look at that angry blow hard loud mouth MAGAt. So scary. A real faux patriot. A heart attack in the making.

These losers with too much spare time are always the first to complain about Social Security being cut or stolen. But they're upset that 8 million scammers, aged 110 to 300 years old have been discovered by DOGE. Every one of them deserves their Social Security denied. Seriously. Every one of them.

what were all those orange-ass kissers doing in the middle of the day on Jan 6? --- they weren't working either when they were busting in the capitol and assaulting the capitol police

Anonymous said...

How embarrassing for this country that we have such uncivilized people among us. Maybe he should read the US Constitution again starting from the beginning. Imagine he thinks he is a police Officer asking for the proper paperwork for a peaceful gathering. LOL. Another clown!

I can't find any unbiased news that supports this. It is false and you are spreading misinformation.

grow-up, he works in the city and the protest was goin on for hours ... staged ... I don't think so

You’re gullible. I have some real estate you might like. Send a DM please.

A coalition of haggard Karens and grumpy old men pitching their usual b$tch in Eastons center square.

The Marxist spores posing as patriotic Americans were dormant for 4 years as a dementia victim and drunk ruined this country.

But now they’re on the March.

Marxists never quit.

I doubt these anti-DOGE ignorant people would even understand that cutting wasteful government spending and fraud actually makes MORE money available to guarantee their favorite ‘free money’ program lasts longer. In other words, clean out all the stealing from Social Security, and then existing Social Security income stretches out even further.

At 12:15, the protest extended around the entirety of the circle with people walking right next to each other. The news was there and counted heads before reporting.
The event was mostly over by the time of this altercation but there were still around 25 people left to witness it.

Just enough to make a scene (the news) but no arrests, no harm done, and the triggered motorist left. No names. A city councilman happened to be cruising by and saved the day! Yeah, sounds like a false flag; Easton-style.

Unfortunate that a veteran , who fought for our rights, doesn’t understand that the First Amendment guarantees ALL citizens the right to peacefully assemble , until someone like him doesn’t believe in that right. What a shame.

He didn’t park, he stopped his truck when he saw the MAGA maniac losing his mind.

8:01, I said "According to LehighValleyLive" as I was not present myself. A good reporter who was there reported the size of the crowd, and his numbers are usually accurate as I have noticed at events I have attended. He signed his name to his story. You, on the other hand, are anonymous and do not take responsibility for your assertion. So who has more credibility?

Bernie O'Hare said...

He has every right to express himself so long as he remains nonviolent.

10:22, What is Marxist about a peaceful protest aimed at a belief that there is Presidential overreach in Trump's barrage of executive orders? Is it Marxist to believe we have three co-equal branches of government? Is it Marxist to believe the Constitution should be followed. Is it Marxist to object to a President who quotes Napoleon to say, ""He who saves his Country does not violate any Law,"?

Vladimir, In case you haven't noticed, and I doubt you notice much of anything positive about a Democrat, Frank Pintabone is everywhere in Easton. He is by far the most productive elected official I have seen during his one year in office, from responding to burnt out streetlights to even taking away someone's garbage. Local government has little to do with national issues, but people have a right to feel safe and Frank did absolutely the right thing by defusing this situation.

Glad your opinion is covered under the Constitution.

So far Musk has fired tens of thousands of people and he's only been in his position less than a month. When were all of these people investigated and found guilty of fraud that they needed to be fired? I have looked and looked and looked and I haven't seen one piece of evidence that there has been widespread for fraud anywhere. All this new administration has done is increased the unemployment rate.

It’s obvious that the Republican Party has embraced the thinkings of Hitler and his then Nazi followers. Let’s just hope that they don’t come up with a “final solution” like the one the Nazis embraced in the 1930s and 1940s.

coincidence? I doubt it

Don't like Trump. But I like what Musk is doing. I was also OK with filthy rich John Kerry jetting all over the planet in his second wife's first husband's third aircraft, as an unelected climate guru. Wait until we learn that Fort Knox is another Al Capone's vault.

I can’t help but wonder if these protestors are a part of the 12 million misogynistic and racist Democrats who voted for the old white guy in 20, but not the young black lady in 24.

I often wonder where those geriatric loving, white skin supporting voters in the Democrat party disappeared to.

Easton?

125 is a stretch, maybe 100. I drove by. The National media touted “massive protests” lol. Up in liberal Massachusetts there was one scheduled at noon at Lynn City Hall. Not one person showed up. I support your right to freeze your ass off looking like fools though. Freedom of speech is a beautiful thing.

Give the veteran some slack. He may have TBI or PTSD from combat. I think these people protesting are the usual rabble rousers who just like to protest anything. Having said that, they have every right to protest as long as it’s peaceful and they don’t block roadways or traffic.

Anonymous said...

Amen to that! Thank you Frank

Straight Outta Southside! Easton needs a batsignal (a Franksignal?) that calls in the dogooder! Gotta love that guy... very few people are willing to put Easton on their back like Frank.

What happened to that noose hoax thing? Is that tabled or have we silently concluded it so as to spare local progressives the blow to their personal and professional credibility?

The one fact that is 100% correct in this article is that you definitely are a bottom feeder lol. Sorry couldn’t resist……

Singing, cursing, screaming, protesting means nothing. He keeps winning. Thank you, President Trump.

I'll say it. If that guy was truly a veteran, screw him. I'm tired of having to applaud veterans, simply because of their status as such. There are bad apples in every profession and I'm "taking the proverbial knee" against the person in this video, veteran or not.

Just out of college, my first supervisor in a group home was (is) a veteran, but he was also a high school drop out (GED) and a repeat criminal offender in his late teens/early twenties. He only joined the service because the judge was tired of seeing him in Court and told him that he can either sign up for the military for two years or go to prison. He opted for the military and spent two years in the army and was "released" (discharged).

He got hired at the group home simply because he was a veteran, despite his criminal record. While he was my supervisor, he was arrested a couple more times, but still kept his job. Once, he was driving the group van and got a DUI. He still was not fired. Yet, he bragged about boing "hardly anything" in the Army except getting drunk. He returned from "serving our Country" with a bunch of tattoos, the clap and stories about a "donkey show".

After his discharge, he continued to suck off of the system. He received Educational Assistance, VA medical benefits, Hiring preference (obviously) and Home Loan Assistance. When he bought his house, he was able to secure a 00.9% Federally insured loan- point 9%.

I support our military greatly who serve with respect and honor. These brave men and women protect our freedom daily and for that, I am forever grateful. But I continue to hear similar stories like the one I posted more often than not.

So……in your opinion, what would be the difference between the veteran you describe or a DEI hire?

I’m going to guess that you aren’t opposed to undeserving people gaining employment via their race, sex, gender, or ethnicity.

You don’t complain about them.

Just the veteran.

Got it. Thanks for your wisdom.

Ask yourself if the so called American Veteran who bled for our country, had a father or family that fought in WE II 2 or
Family member that fought or died , as mine did, for the very right to demonstrate or offer opinion freely , as our 1st Amendment allows….wonder how proud his family would be watching his actions and hearing his profanity ….proud veteran here.

Anonymous said...

11:18am- reading comprehension isnt your strong suit, eh? I made one point about about hiring preference and I have no concern about this practice for veterans. My concern is that not all veterans are honorable. In my post, he was (is) a felonies, drunken loser and that should have barred him from working with juvenile delinquents. Also, he only registered for the military to stay out of jail. He also was arrested for DUI 3 or 4 times after his army stint; one DUI involved driving the Group Home Van.

Thank you for your idiocy. Got it.
