It was supposed to be an easy victory, but somebody forgot to tell Stroudsburg. The score was tied at the end of the first quarter, 11-11, and still tied at the half, 21-21.
Vikings had no problem during warm-up, but they only shot 30% in the first half.
That changed as the second half got underway. Central built up a small lead and spent most of the fourth quarter protecting it.
Jordan "McCrush" McChristian was top Viking scorer with 15. Leading the way foir the Mountaineers was Saveon Jackson, with 16.
Central returns to Rockne and will host Nazareth on Wednesday night. Nazareth lost to Emmaus on Monday night, 58-53, and may as a result be denied a spot in the East Penn Conference championship.
