Cutting off the heads of hostages, hanging gays because their gay, historic abuse of women, mandating death for anyone who doesn't buy their brand of "religion". I'd say they've demonized themselves quite thoroughly.
Calling something, after the fact, what it has already demonstrated itself to be is hardly demonizing. More like an astute observation.
If we could just sit down and talk with them and understand their position, without any preconditions, I'm sure we could all just get along. It must be the Cheneyburtonbush machine that is fanning the flames of all this hatred
Bernie's right. It's our fault they hate us. Their treatment of women, dissenters and anyone else in the very large infidel category is a reflection of our making them into a bogeyman. They were awesome folks before we came along. Some of the highest quality work I've read here.
