Fed Ed Returning to Allentown This Week

Former Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski, who has been released from federal prison to a halfway house in Philly, is expected to be in Allentown this week. He'll have lunch with a few supporters. He apparently has already lined up a job.

Why the hell would he come back to Allentown?! Hasn’t he done enough damage ? Can’t he stay in Philly or go somewhere else and leave us alone once and for all!

Don't dismiss this right out. Think about it. He can become the new Lower Saucon Township Manager. He has the experience. He is a Democrat. He knows the "pay-to-play" concept. He has ties to some Council members and is willing to be ultimate "yes man" and a willingness to ignore corruption. It's a win-win.

Has he ever admitted that he schemed to defraud the public to promote his political career?
Or is it his arrogance, that pay-to-play was justified because he was just that wonderful of a public servant?
Blaming advisers isn’t good enough.
He did it.

Ed has a great political and civic leader who made a few foolish mistakes that he has apologized for. Just ask Alan Jennings, he will enlighten you.

Alan Jennings is a selfless hero of the people. Ask him, he’ll tell you.

Under no circumstances should he have any interaction with city government or its vendors. That means:

1). He should be banned from ANY position in Allentown City government;

2) If a non-profit or any private company that receives A DIME of taxpayer money from or through city government hires him, City Hall should cut all ties with that entity.

3) If council or the mayor (and that includes those in the future) have any interaction with Pawlowski or allow any interaction with City Government, they are guilty of the same crimes for which Pawlowski was convicted.

We all know that City Hall was never cleaned out after Pawlowski went to jail, and I can only hope that there are FBI agents watching any attempted interactions with Pawlowski.

The fact that he’s coming back to Allentown speaks volumes. He should just slither away in shame.

Well, Ed Zucal was complimenting him.

Zucal stood up for good government when it mattered. He knows the score, still he is an old school gentleman.

My betting pool says he runs for mayor down the line. It worked for the crack head Marion Barry down in DC. Besides, what harm would it do? He was actually good at the job, even if he was a wee bit ethically challenged.

Jennings is mentally ill. He thinks he is far more important than he is. No one knows him or cares about him. His organization did nothing except line his pockets

Exactly ! The most arrogant man that you will ever meet

Alan Jennings is Fed Ed’s sycophant

100 % correct

Please.
The guy damaged Allentown in a way that will take a generation to recover.

He sucked at the job, and ruined Allentown in the process. He was great at bullying others and taking credit for the NIZ, which he had nothing to do with.

And as a convicted felon, he is ineligible to become mayor under the Home Rule Charter
