I closed out last week by reporting insensitive comments made by NorCo Council member Kelly Keegan about the murder of far-right influencer Charlie Kirk. Since then, I've received equally if not more offensive remarks from her before she shut down her Facebook page. I could post them, too, but the point has been made. Some of you have taken me to task for drawing attention to her remarks, but she is both an elected official and a nursing director at Easton Area School District. You should know what she said.
As an elected official, she can be censured by Council, which means nothing. County Council has no authority to do anything else. The only way she can be removed from office is if she is impeached and convicted or is convicted of an infamous crime. She will remain in office unless she herself resigns. Should she choose to seek re-election two years from now, voters can oust her then. Or re-elect her.
To be sure, she is political kryptonite at this point to other Democrats running for office. They will likely avoid her. She was a no-show at the Eston Democratic Blue Gala on Friday. She was sent home from Forks Community Days on Saturday.
Her real problem is her continued employment at Easton Area School District. Superintendent Tracy Piazza has noticed what she said. I never spoke to Ms. Piazza but am told she's been inundated with complaints from parents and staff. As a result, she has sent this "Message to Our School Community Regarding Recent Social Media Post."
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Community Members,
I am writing to you today to address a deeply concerning social media post made by an individual associated with our school district regarding the recent passing of Charlie Kirk. The statements made were deeply insensitive, without merit, and in conflict with all that we stand for as a district.
As your Superintendent, and on behalf of the Board of Education, I want to be unequivocally clear: this individual’s personal opinions and statements do not, in any way, represent the values, mission, or beliefs of our school district or those of the Board of Education.
Our schools are founded on principles of respect, empathy, and compassion. We believe in fostering an environment where every individual is treated with dignity, even in disagreement. We believe in the inherent value of every individual, and the unwavering importance of family. While we recognize that, as individuals, we all have our own opinions and beliefs, as a district, we also believe that public statements that diminish the value of human life or are indifferent to the importance of family are without basis. The social media post in question stands in stark opposition to everything we teach and stand for as a district.
As the Superintendent, I expect that all employees display respect and compassion, both in their professional roles and lives. Anything less is unacceptable and not representative of the conduct we expect from individuals associated with the Easton Area School District.
The administration and Board of Education are dedicated to ensuring that our actions and communications consistently reflect our fundamental beliefs and uphold the trust placed in us by the community, regardless of one’s political views.
We will not condone or tolerate such behavior. We are actively reviewing the situation and will take appropriate action in accordance with district policies and laws. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our school community remains a safe, respectful, and supportive place for all.
Thank you for your continued partnership in upholding the values that define our school community.
Do I think she should be fired? No. But I do think she owes an apology to the public she serves, both as an elected official and as a public-school nurse. She also owes an apology to her colleagues on county council. She has been County Council's most divisive member, attacking Republicans and even other Democrats who refuse to go along with everything that Executive Lamont McClure would like to accomplish before leaving office. At meetings, she has publicly attacked Council member John Goffredo over his numerous online comments, but she and Goffredo could both learn a thing or two from another Council member, Tom Giovanni. He only speaks when he needs to make a point, not to hear the sound of his own voice.

How did Keegan ever become a county council person?
What kind of idiot would support her and encouraged her to run?
The witch hunts to get people fired for something they said on social media are disgusting. Social media is a curse. I avoid it as much as possible. I do enjoy consuming the work of this journalist Bernie O'Hare, however.
I found Keegan's remarks reprehensible, but not illegal. She is free to make an ass of herself online. Millions do that everyday.
Unfortunately, there is probably no mechanism to remove her from her position in the County other than for citizens to vote her out. Can that body simply just ignore her completely? Turn off her microphone, remove her official place to place to sit at meetings, invalidate her votes, and add the word "censured" after her name on County websites?
Without knowing the terms of her school district contract, it's difficult to know what options to sequester her there exist, but there must be something to push her aside, at least temporarily. Possibly, assign her to desk work only.
This is not the kind of person I would choose to interact with on a friendly basis, for sure. I shun plenty of people due to their warped social and political opinions. Some seem so brainwashed by Democrat/Socialist news and entertainment media, so block-headed in their views, etc. There's a point where it's not worth the effort to engage in any discussion with them at all.
As a registered Independent voter I will certainly NOT vote for Keegan when I next have an opportunity, nor any other candidate who signs on with her as a team mate.
Ima go to all school district staff members' homes who have Dernold Turmp signs/flags up, take pics from the public easement and post them on Facebook, and tell the district and community my kids should not be near them because fascism is not safe. I know a few of you ima start with.
If she was a nurse in any other setting than a school, i wouldn’t care about the vitriol that spews from her.
She has demonstrated herself to being lacking in self control, insensitive to the opinions of others, and just flat out mean.
Those types of people don’t belong around other peoples kids.
That's the 64K question. Akin to why the heck did so many people vote for the cackling dingbat? In a common sense America, Trump's margin of victory should have been 90 to 10.
Every company, school has a code of conduct.. you are a representative of said company, profession. If you violate that code you a definitely eligible to be terminated. In this case, Kelly Keegan has gone beyond that line to be terminated, especially since she see children everyday. It is a known fact she would talk about children’s parent in front of them because they had different believes than her. The action by the school board is very clear, she much be terminated immediately otherwise the school district will be in some lengthy lawsuits, protest etc. as Kelly would always say, FAFO!!
I do think she should be fired.
She obviously is mentally unbalanced.
Would my child receive proper medical care if my political views don’t totally align with hers?
I don’t know, but I shouldn’t even have to wonder about that.
I like what Megyn Kelly said. People with this much hate and anger in them can’t be reasoned with. They must be defeated.
Keegs we love you for speaking truth to power out of touch boomers like Bernie are trying to tear you down for being unapologetically real while they put on a. Facade, do you Girl f the haters enjoy a box of vino with me next time we meet
I’m a conservative. When I first saw her remarks I was angry. If politics has so permeated your mind that you celebrate someone’s death because they have a different political view, it’s time to seek help, you’re mentally ill.
After further reflection, I’m come to the conclusion that firing her will serve no good purpose. I’m pretty sure she has kids, her children will really be hurt if she’s fired. I don’t want to see that. She needs to apologize, and, most importantly, the District should have her seek counseling for her anger and hate issues. She’s a messed up person.
It’s pretty obvious that the right’s defense of “free speech” and opposition to “cancel culture” was never about principle, only power. The nationwide doxing database compiled over the weekend is a vile and despicable escalation.
These days, there are very few options, codes, rules, or laws, to curb irresponsible public comment from local council officials, or anyone , for that matter.. The outpouring of condemnation from all public sources will continue regarding her school district employment and township responsibility, but here’s the thing:
Our current world has enabled and allowed, over a growing period of time, such vitriol and hate via public comment out-of- control formats like Facebook, Blogs, etc. , to the point that they have become, everyday, normalized, undisciplined, and just plain crude.
There are few effective punishments to stop open-to-interpretation
First Amendment abuse..Our inability to distinguish right vs wrong and stop destructive language versus honest opinion has devolved into what we have now…the Wild West of lackadaisical law and loss of responsible discourse.
There are no answers , when you keep redefining the problems.
12:15 -- She ran unopposed in the general. In the primary, her campaign challenged the petition of Kerry Myers to get him removed from the Democrat primary ballot. Myers was sloppy and had many invalid signatures which dropped him below the required minimum.
Not a big deal. She didn’t threaten anyone. Freedom of speech. Strange times.
Brian Thompson (Luigi mangione) Donald Trump attempt (Thomas crooks) and Charlie Kirk (Tyler Robinson) ....a significant shift from intelligent , well raised Caucasian boys with silver spoons in their mouths. 1 dead, and 2 on death row. The instirurional grooming and brainwashing might even be a bigger tragedy than the assassinations. Yet when these dual tragedies collide, millions on the sidelines grieve, with millions more cheering and celebrating. This is the war, and one that's going to extinguish the democrat party.
"She was sent home from Forks Community Days on Saturday."
Do tell!! Details?
Shocking but not surprising that she would continue to rant but she is apparently someone who doesn’t know when to just “let it go” and probably still thinks she is right when even her own party knew enough to “send her home” from a public event. Her presence as a school nursing director definitely is the bigger concern. Hopefully EASD sees the issue with her continuing in that role. Thanks for bringing this to light last week, Bernie.
TP's obviously AI assisted letter is just covering her and the boards butts. No real action will be taken.
She got to be a Council person the same way Donald Trump got to be President. Idiots vote for idiots.
Keegan has a severe case of hoof and mouth disease.
The irony here can’t be understated. Charlie Kirk (Whatever you think of him) believed in free speech, and he hated “cancel culture”. He would definitely not agree that someone lose their job for an offensive or insensitive social media post.
She is an embarrassment to the entire human race- ignorant and never thinks before she opens her mouth. Even so, Charlie Kirk would've defended her 1st Amendment right to free speech.
This is the reason why our country is the way it is right now. No one cares about free speech. People have a right to an opinion. This blog is based on opinions and no one is revolting to have it removed from the internet! Kelly chose to write this on her own personal Facebook page. Not the school’s Facebook page. And as far as we know, she doesn’t preach it to the children in the school district. Charlie had his own views and spewed hate against black individuals, LGBTQ+ individuals, IVF and more. Yet people chose to go to his rallies or else they chose not to if they didn’t want to hear his views. If you don’t agree with someone’s views, what they write on their Facebook page, then scroll along, and don’t read it. County council states their opinions from time to time and you don’t see people outside the government center demanding their resignations. That is what is wrong with the world right now. No one can have their own opinion. The minute someone disagrees with somebody it’s filled with hatred and violence. It’s just teaching the future generations to sit there and be quiet and don’t engage in anything.
But on a sidenote, GO BIRDS! 2-0 🦅
She has contact with children and wrote that two children are better off with their dad being dead. She should be fired and never work with children in any capacity. Until that happens, Piperata and EASD have de facto endorsed her evil remarks toward two children.
Can you imagine if she had to treat a student who's a Trump supporter?
I always admired this guy, though i sometimes disagreed with him. He built an impressive organization organically, with no money, by going directly into the lions den.
I think the question here is: is she is exposing your children to her vitriol and if so, should be removed from her school position.
I appreciate Keegan for having the intellectual honesty to fly her lunatic flag openly and proudly. Her public broadcast of that lunacy shows her lack of self-control and self-awareness. Self-control and self-awareness are qualities that many employers look for in employees. Not volatile and polarizing personalities. As she has telegraphed her lunacy the public has responded and now created headaches for the school administration. The admin will endure only so many headaches until they flush the toilet to get rid of the smell. Yes Keegan has first amendment rights. But she also has consequences that come with exercising those rights. She should probably find a position somewhere that isn't subject to the public's whim. And also tone down her rhetoric if she wants to stay employed.
She only got there because they wanted to get Myers who wouldn’t be a puppet out. They needed a puppet and that’s how Keegan got in
She should apologize for the plastic bag ban she proposed.
Honestly, I never heard of Charlie Kirk until last week. I was out of town on a business trip and turned on the morning news in the hotel room. The reported stated that Charlie Kirk was assassinated. My first thoughts were, Assassinated? Who is he? What positive contribution did he provide society? I briefly googled him and and found out he was a far right nut who peddled conspiracy theories and spouted hate speech.
I believed it was horrible that he was murdered. I felt badly for his family, friends and loved ones; especially for exercising his first amendment speech, in which I'm a firm believer, including his and Kelly Keegan's mean spirited post. But, defining his murder as an assassination is repugnant.
Anyway, over the weekend, I noticed on social media that DeSales University is having a mass on Tuesday for the victims of recent "gun violence". I shared the event on my Facebook page. Below is is a copy/paste that DeSales University posted:
"Join us for University Mass on Tuesday at 5 PM in Connelly Chapel of the Sacred Heart, as we pray for those killed and injured by gun violence in recent weeks in our nation and for an end to this evil in our nation."
Boy oh boy, did the MAGA cult come after me for sharing this...
"It's not gun violence. It's people with guns that killed"
""Will DeSales have a mass for Libtards who are mentally ill"
"A look at your Facebook page shows me you're as deranged as Biden"
"Another left wing bullshit idea. Get help".
Again, I simply shared the post without any comment on my Facebook page. I was born and raised Catholic. I had 16 years of Catholic education until I was paroled. I now identify as an Atheist and am, politically, Independent, but lean toward the democratic party. I applaud DeSales for initiating this event, but let me be clear:
Charlie Kirk was no Saint. He was no man of good character. He was a charlatan who built a evil media empire on gullible people. And, he certainly was not assassinated.
I'm an Atheist, but I try to practice Christian values. Charlie Kirk did not.
My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones including his cult following.
That's not entirely accurate, Meyers was a bully on Council, pretty stupid and amazingly lazy. He used his perch to instruct deputy sheriffs to disobey the Sheriff in a monumental display of disrespect for a good man and based on a complete misunderstanding of facts. He saw racism in just about everything. Then he was so full of himself that he failed to get the requisite number of signatures to his nomination petition. After being bounced off the ticket, he switched parties in an attempt to cling to office, but was overwhelmingly defeated bc he did no campaigning and Rs knew he was a phony R. After the election, he switched back. Meyers is all about Meyers. Unfortunately, Keegan has been very bad as well.
He wasn’t assassinated? Ok, whatever dude. I find most atheists to be vey narcissistic types who think there is no God because they think they are smarter than everyone else. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. As far as the gun violence service, I have no problem with it, not sure why that would bother people.
Its not a discussion of what's illegal
How do you not understand this issue. Celebrating someone's death is sick!!!!! Think long and hard about this... it wasn't just words it was celebrating the killing of someone with whom she disagreed!!!!
I hear what you are saying. However celebrating assassination is a problem in our country that if we don't find some moral compass we as a country are in trouble. What will unite us? If not this
6:01 - You acknowledged that she's both mentally ill and a messed-up person.
That alone is why she needs to be fired and not around kids.
This is so self-evident, it's not even really debatable.
She absolutely has the right to say what she wants. She does not have the right to be free of consequences for what she says.
do you even know syntax or how to spell?
Doesn’t the home rule charter have a recall provision?
It would seem that a number of employers in school districts throughout the U.S. have had no problems terminating employees publishing this type of vitriol. The only time EASD has any courage is when they are planning to raise school taxes to reward this type of employee. I am worried what she will say to my grandchildren if I would disagree with her politics. She is clearly aware of the use of a public forum to espouse her opinions and viewpoints. In the position of school nurse, she would have access to children without other adults being present. What snide remark would she make if the child's parents did not support her politics. Let her vitriol speak for who she is. Would you trust this individual with your child?
You should see what Josh Siegel posted. These people are crazy!
Stupid & Lazy? That's BOTH Keegan & Myers!!
An evil empire? Advocating for Free Speech- the same speech that got him assassinated? You need help!
Kelly Keegs is a bona fide star on TiCTok she has tremendous engagement across a broad coalition of allies The radical right lunatics who want her head on a pike are deranged misanthropic plebes who worship The Donald as their orange god, while secretly watching trans porn in their parents basement
Please go away Tara!
She's mentally ill!
No riots, burning of Buildings, assaulting Cops- there are some normal people left in this world!
@9:40
You never heard of the man until last week, now you know that Charlie K. was a bad, evil man?
Duh…
Of course he wasn’t a saint.
Of course he held some controversial positions and was a provocateur.
You need to take a long look in the mirror.
DeSalles University?
Shouldn’t they be holding a service against knife violence?
The tone deaf hypocrisy is astounding.
There IS no “LGBTQ community”.
Most Ls and Gs are not connected to the wack doodle T’s and the “queers”. In fact the Ls and the Gs have separate agendas.
Charlie was emphatic about welcoming gay people to the movement he supported, a movement I don’t belong to.
Your ignorance is astounding.
I don't think people are celebrating Kirk's death. They aren't celebrating another death by gun violence. They are just glad they don't have hear about him proselytizing his nonsense anymore...there is a difference. What nonsense? Let's list some....report professors who explained gender ideology, it is worth the cost of gun deaths to keep the second amendment, MLK was an awful person, the Civil Rights Act is an anti-white weapon, proponent of the anti-semitic replacement theory (remember the proud boy chant "Jews will not replace us"), women should have children before careers (smart women may delay childbirth until they are sure they could provide for a child, especially with divorce rate at around 50%), climate change is gibberish and that is just part of his schtick. Further he seemed to target youth with this stuff in particular. I for one am not glad he was shot and I truly don't think people are glad he was shot, they are just happy to be spared one more daily dose of vitriol and nonsense.
I always try to look at things through the lens of the golden rule. Do unto others as you would want done unto you.
Let's do this example:
If I were Kelly and I was attending a counsel meeting and expressing my point of view and someone got up and shot me horrifically in front of my family. Would I think it would be appropriate to have some others in the room stand up and start clapping? Obviously NO...
That is essentially what she did.
My God... where is these people's introspection and self awareness?
No one should ever be killed for speaking their beliefs. Period...
Whether she gets fired is not even a close comparison to losing a life.
Democratic candidates in Northampton County are already distancing themselves from her.
I like how so many are quick to say that Charlie Kirk was this/or that negative kind if person. A racist, a fraud, etc.
Listen up! YOU might be mouthing those words, but those words came from someone else. YOU are simply parroting what you heard on tv, radio, or read in print. YOU never met the man, his family. Never had a conversation with him, nor did business with him.
Just express your sympathy over what happened and move along. Better to be the adult in the room.
Over in Lehigh County Josh Seigel took the low road also. He started off good for 1-2 sentences before undercutting his own moral point by immediately shifting from condemning political violence across the board to blaming the victim. You can’t credibly say “no one deserves this” while in the same breath arguing Kirk’s rhetoric made him responsible for his own murder. The reality is extremists on both sides fuel today’s toxic and increasingly dangerous climate. Pretending otherwise only deepens division. Josh "F the police" Seigels post wasn't about bringing people together it was scoring cheap political points.
The result? A toxic cess pool back and forth in the comments triggering the worse of both extremes. That's not leadership.

PA is an “at-will” state. Yes you can be fired for saying/texting something inappropriate if it violates company policy, code of ethics, creates a hostile work environment, damages the employer reputation, constitutes harassment, discrimination, or threats. Employees can terminate employees for any reason or no reason, as long as it’s not an illegal reason.
I call that BS
- * - Re: Democrats will likely avoid her - * -
Worth mentioning her husband is running for a seat on the Easton-Forks school board slot. It looks like it is 3 people running for that slot, too. They crossfile so you have to research who's really a Dem. and who's really a Rep. Anyone in Forks who's a Dem. knows her. Wonder how they'll play it.
Key words here are BOX of vino, tells me you are less of a class act like kookook Keegan
Justifying the unjustifiable... nice.
Hurt feelings doesn't justify killing people.
Josh is another one who has no self control.
Where are all the good competent candidates?
9:40 here @ 1pm. That was my point...and I get attacked...again
Also, don't get me started with his conspiracy theories. I've heard most of them from my family and friends over the years, ad nauseum.
This is why I didn't know who Charlie Kirk was. I stopped listening to cable news a long time ago and stopped showing up to many events because I was tired of the ongoing nonsense talking points...from Rush Limbaugh, to Bill O'Reilly, to Alex Jones to Donald Trump, to...(fill in the next blowhard)
Meet the old boss, same as the new boss. At least, I won't get fooled again.
She needs to be fired from her job & resign her seat-! How can a person who's job it is to help/ save lives, celebrate when 1 is assassinated?
The HRC provisions concerning recall are unconstitutional as per the Pa Supreme Court. As I already stated, the only way to remove an elected official is via impeachment by the General Assembly or conviction of an infamous crime.
The whole silly nonsense about the alphabet people has mercifully played out.
It’s all a grand farce.
I am neither happy or sad about his murder. He would not care about me if I was murdered by gun violence. In his own words, empathy is a weakness in our society and some gun deaths are simply a fair price for the second amendment. I will not miss his content.
What is happening may be a good thing. Meaning that these individuals now are exposed and people can judge them for who they are. It is obvious that anyone who believes you should be killed for speaking your mind doesn't belong in a position of power or authority over others.
It is unfortunate that Mr. Brace chose not to run in Lehigh. By all accounts, he is a true gentleman, politically astute, and of calm disposition. Not sure what the story was there, but there must be one. For years he was looked at his Armstrong‘s successor. Is a shame Armstrong is term limited as he is a great example of how the Democrat party should operate - moderate, compassionate, and knowledgeable of what he’s leading. Brace would’ve been the same. Don’t really know Siegel, other than the bad press he has received.
Hey 8:04, Piperata retired in 2023
The quality of boxed wine has grown tremendously and that value is where our generation saved dollars lost by Orange mans abhorrent tarrif policies, Keegs knows how to crush vino and keep her cool too bad your a square!
Koo Koo Keegan must go- now!!
He has to be KOO KOO TOO!
Thanks Bernie did not know that. Are the initiative and referendum nullified also?
Charlie Kirk wanted to subjugate and other non Christians and make them second class citizens , his destruction was a total self own hoisted by his own petard poking the bear far and wide on his Uber provocative disinformation propaganda tour
Simple story. Become an ambitious State Representative in a safe seat. Step into a culture where you do a little playacting here and there but the real job is fundraising. Full-time and year-round on a taxpayer-funded salary.
Here? Siegel pushed Brace out with threats and a stupid amount of money he built up. Brace was in. Told people he was in. Then suddenly—he wasn’t.
The real disappointment? Armstrong, well-liked, respected/genuinely gets and cares about county government stayed too quiet choosing his successor. Or maybe believed Siegel would mature. (spoiler alert... ain't happening)
And what about Schlossberg? After all the years Brace served as his aide, he should’ve had the backbone to go to bat for him.
Yes. Brace IS a gentleman. A genuinely good guy in a sometimes rotten business. He’s also a walking encyclopedia of county government, with his heart rooted there. Unlike Siegel, he wasn’t after the seat to parlay it into a Congressional run. He could have taken Seigel in a primary and won the general easily. Brace woulda been an outstanding 2 term executive.
Please stop misrepresenting charlies words on gun deaths. This was a live taped debate. He was questioned about supporting the 2nd amendment in the wake of many school shootings. No one , including Charlie , condoned gun deaths. He drew reference to the cost of freedom, as in cars, which cause many deaths every year, yet we don't ban cars. It pains me to see how his words are be twisted to be something they werent. There is a cost associated with all freedoms and the 2A is no different. Please stop the lies.

He was a monster and Kelly Keegan was right.
Only Koo Koo Keegan would be dumb enough to post a celebration of murder- she needs help!
at 5:54 PM
Thanks Kelly, we already know you're not a fan.
Suggesting cars fatalities are the cost of driving is inappropriate as well.
Reading Piazza’s comments to WFMZ they’re going to sweep it.
It’s Tracy Piazza now. That’s why nothing will happen to her.
WTF is ima? Lol you should worry about learning English not subjects you obviously know nothing about.
5:54 You're sick and incredibly ignorant!
Lacking in self control. You hit it on the head. These people are so reactionary with emotional responses on social media. Think before you post. She always seemed proud of being controversial, bet not anymore.
Koo Koo Keegan must go!
Koo Koo Keegan is Exhibit A of a radicalized lunatic!
Car deaths are certainly accidentally deaths. Deaths by gunshot are deliberate murder.
Car deaths are accidental. Gun deaths deliberate murder.
anon 7;30, thank you Team Tara.
BOH for county council!
I love the MLK stuff. He was quoting MLK own biographer lol. In fact, every statement you posted has been pulled from a larger discussion and is out of context. Context matters. Do some research instead of reposting stuff.
People need to attend county council and school district meetings and demand she be fired or reprimanded/censured -whatever it takes to remove her in any way possible. Re-Call-- anything to remove her
You again insist on misrepresenting what he said. He didn't condone gun deaths. He didn't condone car death. He pointed out that freedom has a cost, and we don't ban freedom to eliminate cost.
7:53- "we don't ban freedom to eliminate cost". Yeah, um, after 9/11, the Republican party went completely nuts and way overboard on taking away our freedoms. Now is common to get molested to walk into any government building, recreational facility or other other random venue and God forbid the metal detectors go off.
It cannot be said enough how fortunate Lehigh is to have had Armstrong. He is a Competent leader and has helped to move Lehigh firmly ahead of Northampton in terms of county government competence. There is no drama that comes out of Lehigh county government. Yeah there’s the Commissioner who’s in hot water there with drug charges, but that has nothing to do with the executive. Brace, who seems to be a little left of Armstrong, still would’ve governed competently and successfully from the left. This is the problem with our party that we will take out a relatable and popular candidate like Brace for somebody that is very young and divisive like Siegel. Hopefully Armstrong is able to impart wisdom to Siegel.
Jon Bongiovi is good people. So is Bruce Springsteen. They have done more work for the homeless and veterans then most other entertainers. Stop playing victim Republucan party. You're not.
Let this sink in:
Last night in Nashville, Jon Bon Jovi delivered a moment the world will never forget. Midway through his set, as tension filled the arena following the tragic mirder of activist Charlie Kirk, the rock icon chose not to lecture or debate.
Instead, he simply lifted his mic… and began to sing “God Bless America.”
At first, it was just his voice — steady, heartfelt, and raw. Within seconds, 25,000 people rose to their feet, joining in a chorus that echoed through the night sky. Flags waved, tears flowed, and anger melted into unity.
In that instant, Jon Bon Jovi didn’t just reclaim the stage — he reminded us all what it means to grieve together, and to honor life with grace.
Kelly Keegan’s hateful and disgraceful statement regarding the death of Charlie Kirk has crossed a line that no public official should ever cross. Leaders are meant to serve their communities with integrity, compassion, and respect—not spew venom and celebrate tragedy.
When an elected official engages in such dangerous rhetoric, they forfeit the public’s trust. Kelly Keegan’s words are not just offensive—they are corrosive to the values of decency and leadership.
For the good of this community, and for the credibility of the council itself, Kelly Keegan must step down. We deserve leaders who unite, not divide.
Stop hiding behind the First Amendment.
The Constitution does not protect the glorification of political assassination. The First Amendment protects citizens from government censorship — it does not shield hate-filled individuals who cheer the murder of Charlie Kirk from accountability. Celebrating violence isn’t “speech,” it’s incitement. It’s dangerous. It endangers our children, destabilizes our communities, and fans the flames of civil unrest.
Employers, schools, and communities have every right — and duty — to reject and remove those who openly cheer on political violence.
Insanity: Thinking it’s wrong to lose your job because of what you said, but what you said is Charlie should lose his life for what he said.
Lovely. Then we all went back to hating each other right after the show.
Nobody forced you to listen to him. The hate runs deep.
Koo Koo Keegan said the crazy leftist part out loud!
Keegan's comments did not celebrate Kirk's dead. She obviously had no respect for him. Period. Her opinions, not well thought out but definitely her right. Most of you sit and digest Trump blathering bullshit everyday and accept it. You accept his racist jabs, his moronic facts and say yeah but Keegan said terrible things. Both idiots both allowed to be idiots for our watching/reading pleasure to see how far our candidate selection has fallen. And our exec choices are sad too.
