Since I first began blogging in 2006, I've published 14,445 posts and 305,000 comments. This is primarily a local blog, though I do ramble into national news from time to time. Many news sources proclaim objectivity, but there really is no such thing. I admit a center left bias but have done my best to be factual and honest. This year, there will be numerous municipal offices up for grabs. I will certainly focus on Northampton County's government, politics and races. If you'd like more stories about other local governments, please comment below on what government and why. Better yet, why not become an author yourself? I'm getting older and am slowly losing eyesight, especially at night. This is likely from spending too many hours on the laptop. But there are stories that need to be told and too few people who can invest the time. My left sidebar includes links to local bloggers on that PC version of this website. Please focus on Northampton County races. The at large council races and especially the county executive race will be interesting enough. Stay centered, Bernie. Trump will handle everything else.

Due to my current employment, I am unable to write about the goings on in government. You will never know how much I appreciate the service you provide and yours is the first thing I read each morning. It disgusts me that you continually “scoop” paid reporters who, apparently either haven’t cultivated relationships with sources or are just too darned lazy to put in the legwork to do their very important jobs. One day, Bernie, I hope to cover governing bodies, but in the meantime, I hope you will keep plugging away and being our watchdog.
You deserve alot of credit for what you do and have done so far. Surely not an easy job, and you give others something to think about. Kudos!

I would appreciate your insight on the Allentown City Council. I follow another blogger but his focus is more on the mayor than the council. Wonder who Ce-Ce will get behind for Mayor and how others like Santos and Hendricks will proceed.

Readership by Conservatives has probably gone way down following your unrelenting attempts to smear the incoming President, even to the point of re-telling numerous lies put forward by our state-run liberal news outlets. Also from the absolute junk journalism by the Associated Press found all over the dying Morning Call. Thankfully, none of that worked.
Bernie as far as your eyes going bad didn't your parents ever tell you that you will go blind if you keep doing a certain thing? The brothers at Beca also warned us. My eyes are ok because I quit once I needed glasses. You have a great blog continue the great work as long as you can.
