Apologies For Comment Moderation

My apologies. I enabled comment moderation for about an hour today, something I hated to do. Bill Villa had posted the same pair of comments about thirty-five times. As quickly as I could delete them, he would put them back up. It was impossible to write, so I enabled moderation briefly.

Villa regularly hijacks blog threads to make off topic remarks or to attack people on his growing enemies' list. He uses his name, but also posts anonymously and uses sock puppets like Hogan, Broadway Jim, Joshua T, foo foo, etc. What's even worse is that he misappropriates the names of others who post here. Lately, he's assumed the identity of a Catholic priest. He posted as a cleric on his wife's blog and at The Morning Call readers' forum.

None of this is really worth a post here. I'm telling you about it anyway because of something else - a startling accusation Villa made tonight on his wife's blog, Lehigh Valley Somebody. (A link is at the left sidebar). Villa's daughter, Sheena, was tragically killed two years ago while riding as a passenger in a car driven by a person who was drunk. Villa accuses three bloggers, including me, of impersonating his deceased daughter. Here's the claim, in all its glory.

O'Hare is a sellout of the lowest order.

And a muzzler of opinions that threaten his ambitions.

That's why O'Hare and Molovinsky and Najarian moderate comments at their blogs.

To muzzle people in advance.

We moderate comments here to block these 3 stooges from commenting anonymously as my deceased daughter Sheena "writing from hell."

Big Difference..

This is sad. Of course, it's false and disgustingly reckless. I might add that I've never seen a comment anywhere that purported to be from Sheena Villa. I also know Michael Molovinsky and Dave Najarian Najarian well enough to know they would never even think such a thing. Reading that vile statement really upsets me, and I have to deny Villa's claim publicly.

Now let me tell you the real reason Villa enabled comment moderation. He did so in in August. It had nothing to do with his daughter. When he was in the middle of hijacking this blog, I decided to take his OT comments and put them back on his wife's blog. Villa was forced to delete his own comments and moderate ... himself.

Villa currently faces a criminal harassment prosecution.

Trollvilla Facing Criminal Harassment Charges

On the day before the election, I deleted about forty spam comments posted by Bill Villa. Villa, you may recall, is the cyber-stalker who mounted a spam attack here and at other blogs on September 29. He posted over 500 identical comments here and about 200 elsewhere. His irrational and menacing behavior interferes with and prevents meaningful conversation. It is intended to cause public annoyance, inconvenience and alarm. It serves no legitimate purpose.

In addition to spamming and hijacking blogs, Villa threatens violence. He'd like to break my jaw in seven different places. He routinely wants to engage in fist fights. He has told one blogger to cross the street if he sees him coming. He has told another that he's coming after him with "both barrels." This conduct is intended to cause public annoyance, inconvenience and alarm. It serves no legitimate purpose.

The time I spend deleting his spam is time that could be spent earning my living or researching posts.

Today, Villa is back to his old tricks, spamming this blog with numerous irrelevant comments. I will delete his spam and refuse to enable comment moderation.

I suppose now is as good a time as any to announce that, after independent review, the Northampton County District Attorney has authorized a criminal prosecution against Villa. Charges were filed on October 27 Before District Judge Capobianco. This spam today is just additional evidence.

Villa is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That will be no problem.

Troll Attack Escalates to Criminal Harassment

According to the Pa. Crimes Code, "A person commits the crime of harassment when, with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another, the person: ... engages in a course of conduct or repeatedly commits acts which serve no legitimate purpose."

A spam attack, on this and other blogs, is being engineered by Bill and Angie Villa. In addition to the comments I've deleted, there are now at least 350 comments on my blog alone, all of them made between 7 AM and 12:00 PM. The comments are coming too frequently, and on too many different blogs, to be Villa alone. He's getting some help from his wife.

Their course of conduct serves no legitimate purpose. It is intended to harass, annoy and alarm others.

The purpose of this post is to make Villa aware that he has committed a criminal offense. I will no longer delete his comments. I consider them evidence.

Morning Call Allows Hate Speech, But Stifles Criticism

If you belong to the local KKK, I'm sure you know all about The Morning Call Readers' Forum. Filters may prevent even the mildest of profanities, but people can and do make outrageous remarks about anyone who is different, even lefties.

Do you honestly think there's a difference between "I hate niggers" and "I hate n****rs"? Does it really matter that words like "shit" or "bitch" are filtered when people can still refer to Allentown's minority population as "filthy mongrels"?

On the plus side, there's lots of good advice on where you can buy cheap Swastikas, get skinhead haircuts and have your sheets cleaned and pressed.

Minorities, homosexuals and Jews have been easy targets for centuries, so this is really nothing new for them. But it's still hypocritical when the paper sponsoring that venom piously beats its chest and proclaims it stands for "[t]olerance and respect for all persons, irrespective of differences of race, religion or culture. When people disagree about issues, we will advocate for and provide opportunities for a civil discourse that seeks common ground and constructive solutions."

In reality, The Morning Call stands for the Almighty Dollar. All hail!

The paper has yet to publicly acknowledge its readers forum is even a problem, let alone promise to do anything to stop the hate.

Here's what kills me.

The KKK can congregate all over the readers' forum, so long as they don't curse. But the paper has habitually blocked comments from Bill Villa, a Morning Call critic, to the forum or on Morning Call blogs.

Who the hell is Bill Villa? He's a nobody, a schlep like you and me. Not too long ago, his daughter was taken away from him by a drunk driver. Is he angry? Yep. Bitter? You bet. But he's also smart and thinks there has been an injustice. Maybe he's wrong. Maybe he's right.

Until recently, columnist Bill White has denied Villa's comments are deleted. "I have never deleted any comment by Bill Villa. If he tried to post a comment and it didn't go through, it's because of the same occasional glitch that has blocked me from posting comments on my own blog on several occasions, always from home." Yet just last week, Villa was again blocked from commenting on a Bill White blog. This time, there was a different explanation. "Mr. Villa is engaged in a dispute with our editors, and I'm not going to inject myself into it or make this a forum to debate it."

So the local paper apparently is blocking comments from the father of a drunk driving victim while enabling the Aryan Nation. I have one question - are these people out of their frickin' minds?
