FBI's Former Director Indicted ... Again

In the latest bizarre twist of President Donald Trump's use of the Department of "Justice" to go after his perceived enemies, his henchmen have brought yet another indictment (a first one was dismissed) against former FBI Director James Comey for threatening the life of the President and using Instagram to convey his threat. The evidence? An Instagram post featuring seashells arranged so they read "8647."

86 is American slang for getting rid of something. Trump is the 47th President.

According to The Popehat Report, this is what the government must prove: ". To prove a threat against the President in violation of Section 871, the prosecution must offer “(1) the proof of "a true threat" and (2) that the threat is made "knowingly and willfully."“ United States v. Lockhart, 382 F.3d 447, 449-450 (4th Cir. 2004). To prove a threat in interstate commerce in violation of Section 875(c), the government must prove that “(1) that the defendant knowingly transmitted a communication in interstate or foreign commerce; (2) that the defendant subjectively intended the communication as a threat; and (3) that the content of the communication contained a "true threat" to kidnap or injure.” United States v. White, 810 F.3d 212, 220-21 (4th Cir. 2016). For purposes of both statutes, a “true threat” is a statement which an “ordinary, reasonable recipient who is familiar with the context in which the statement is made would interpret it as a serious expression of an intent to do harm.” White, 810 F.3d at 221." There is no way that any reasonable person could conclude that Comey's vulgar post, one he deleted himself, poses a threat. On its face, this indictment is invalid.

47 is for the 47th president. The 86 comes from and means, take 8 miles out of town and put 6 feet under ground. Comey didn't know?

More deflection from the Failure-In-Chief!

This is good news to me. James Comey was a significant part of an ongoing attempt to cover-up multitudes of criminal behaviors by political operatives during the Obama/Hillary Clinton/Biden Democrat eras.

American taxpayers have been subjected to widespread fraud and deception that has been carefully covered-up by high officials in our federal government, including prior Departments of Justice, the CIA, and even our Courts. All helped along by a compromised news media and some complicit Republicans who were content to simply look the other way.

Recently, thousands and thousands of previously withheld and redacted documents have been released that are only now bringing things into public view. A Federal Grand Jury in Florida has been in operation for 3 months now attempting to tie everything together and hold those responsible to account.

I’d just like to say, several so-called conspiracy theories downplayed over the years are now coming into light. Some, already proven to be true.

Stay tuned.

Sadly, you will get multiple comments from the Kool Aid Drinking Crew who will support/defend/rationalize the DOJ action.

It’s laughable that you post an article lamenting a second indictment of a disgraced FBI director, yet couldn’t find the time to write about the third assassination attempt on our current president, again fueled by violent democrat rhetoric.

He should be deported..

The charges are ridiculous, but necessary. We learned during the Comey years that the process is the punishment - even as he was going through Melania's bras and panties with guns drawn. As soon as these charges are dropped,, more charges should be immediately filed ... again, and again, and again. He should be forced to spend money and be inconvenienced by court appearances; even through the JD Vance administration. When he attempts to retaliate, those who are persecuting him should simply be pardoned, as he was by Biden, who pardoned his own cokehead, philandering, deadbeat dad and thief of a dirtbag son, even after Biden promised he wouldn't. Addicts need punishment; not treatment for their weakness and foul deeds. It might have made you a decent human being and you know it. Republicans didn't create these rules. They're simply playing by the ones created by Biden and Obama. Fair is fair. I could watch this all day. If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Another swing and a miss in BO's warped attempt to tarnish his betters.

Comey should be in jail, for what he did to Trump & Michael Flynn. The guy weaponized the FBI and set the Dept. back decades- that's the real crime!

Just so we are clear, Mr. President, your comments on January 6, 2021, exhorting your followers to go to the Capitol and "fight like hell" is protected free speech but the statement of an out-of-office former federal official to "86" a sitting office holder is a true threat?

My wife and I are both over eighty years old, quite active in the community, and we have never heard of this coded message. 8647 ???? How long has this coded message been out there? Am I that out of touch? This looks like a get even with Comey event. What a shame.

I'm comfortable with harassing Comey with lawfare, however specious. It's a game he used very effectively against his enemies. He apparently committed crimes and was preemptively pardoned to keep him out of jail. He should be subpoenaed to testify before Congress, however. He will not be able to plead the Fifth and the legal preparation to keep him out of perjury traps may cost him hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. That's what he did to his enemies and fairness is the lynch pin of our system. He should be bankrupted to assure no unethical FBI director of either party does what he did. Fair is fair.

Yet again Trump with his finger on the pulse of the average American citizen... Time and taxpayer money being spent on petty revenge! Who cares if it will be laughed out of court, so long as anyone who hurts his feelings is made to suffer for a couple news cycles. Plus Kash Patel needs to show he's doing something.

I'm pretty objective about Trump. I despise him personally, but actually like some of his foreign policy moves. This, however, is a childish bridge too far.

Despite the "8647" post I have viewed Comey as a boy scout who holds his duty to the law above politics, as he had shown when going after Hillary in the past election which many felt gave Trump an advantage, including Trump, who gave him a hug in appreciation. Comey proved his devotion to law over politics when he later investigated the Trump campaign's possible Russian collusion, but he found when dealing with a King, absolute loyalty is expected above the law, otherwise, punishment will be dealt. Firing, apparently was not enough for our new royal.

I mean NOBODY used 86 46 in reference to Biden right? There is no clear evidence that shows people using that anywhere that I know of. Except on t-shirts, bumper stickers, flags, and online posts, but other than that nothing.

Another chance to waste taxpayer money on a silly and vindictive worthless cause. How many worthwhile causes could that money otherwise serve?

Weak. The saying “fight like hell” means to try very hard with your greatest effort, etc. Heard millions of times per day in every sports locker room. Of course, you already knew that.

Revenge and intentionally targeted political
Opponents with no end in sight with a paralyzed and complicit Congress. We are now lawless and without Constitutional respect .

I agree- his personality sometimes rubs me the wrong way, but after 4 years of a corpse as our Prez, I admire his tenacity and agree with many of his policies.

Gateway case to get his phone and start digging. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. He's a criminal who required a pardon. Justice demands that he be pursued until he can be tried and properly jailed.

Sip your kool-aid pet your Trump bobblehead of the biggest fraud and liar in history who has followed the advice of his mentor Roy Cohn the devil himself

Yes. 47 should be sent to Somalia.

He didn’t because that is false. It’s an old restaurant term for canceling an order.
I haven’t heard it in 50 years.
Even if what you said was true and Comey knew it, posting a picture is not a crime.

Yes, we are now a lawless, one political party, nation. In plain words, the overthrow of America started with the election of Obama is nearly complete.
This is all no longer a conspiracy theory as so many uninformed people continued to claim as a defense.

Wake up people. You are rapidly entering a place of lost personal freedoms. Just like what’s already been happening in Great Britain, France, Germany, and recently Canada.

Trumps first term was spent with endless investigations by democrats. It is out of control but its all politicians not one sided. This won't go far but it was a grand jury decision and does make a point. Comey has done many unfortunate things this is just another. Either he knew what he was doing or he is just not very smart

I find it appalling when politicians and political parties use their power to target their rivals.

Russia! Russia! Russia!

In 2023, Matt Gaetz (Whom Trump nominated for Attorney General) before Gaetz got 86'd, posted on Twitter:

"We've not 86'd:

McCarthy (as Speaker)
McDaniel (as RNC Chair)
McConnell (as Senate Majority Leader).

Better days are ahead for the Republicans Leader".

BTW, I don't care that Comey is going thru this since he 86'd Hillary Clinton's campaign and he weaponized the Justice Department by prosecuting Martha Stewart. He's just as deplorable as the MAGA cult.

You are really misinformed and frankly part of the problem if you feel that way. Wwe are a country all about freedom are u kidding you think we are loosing them? Seriously

Anonymous said...

Maybe Trump can bring back Jack Smith to do his magic on Comey since Smith was so concerned with "justice" being served?

Anonymous said...

Sorry for the typo. Gaetz tweet was "We've just 86'd..."

Anonymous said...

Wow, truly a case of TKAS…Trump Kiss Ass Syndrome.

Stop being proud and virtuous of your side, you talk of "Violent Democrat Rhetoric", yet which party rioted and stormed the Capitol when their favorite wrestling hero lost his election in 2020?

Bringing this back locally - our local school districts are reducing services and still raising taxes because of federal budget cuts, yet we'll blow wads of taxpayer cash on frivolous lawsuits and vanity projects. A ballroom, an arch... We need fucking adults in Washington DC, not circus clowns. The 24/7 cable talking heads should be talking about this, yet all it ever is about is our party is great, theirs are criminals. Morons on TV entertaining morons watching TV, meanwhile the world burns.

86 is the term used by restaurant and bar workers to stop serving alcohol to the patron who is drunk or drinking too much. If someone is 86'd they are cut off from being served any more drinks. They may be asked to leave if causing a commotion.

It's thinking like this that will drive voters to the Democrats. And get disbarred the DOJ lawyers who are responsible. Bring it on!

Anonymous said...

I seriously doubt that Comey will be paying for his legal representation.

Anonymous said...

It would be fun to know how the DOJ explained this to the grand jury, though, wouldn't it?

I really appreciate it when MAGAs like you forget that you're not supposed to say the quiet part out loud. And when Trump does it, it's evidence. This case is clear vindictive prosecution.
