At last week's meeting of Easton City Council, there was quite the argy-bargy over Council member Taiba Sultana's latest attempt to make immigrants feel at home in Easton. Her earlier attempt at an ordinance failed. Her latest effort - a nonbinding resolution - was tabled so that the language can be cleaned up
During the chaos that seems to follow her wherever she goes, Sultana accused Council member Frank Pintabone of raising questions "because immigrants can't vote for you and you want to make sure you have votes of all the racists, all the white people."
She's continued to bray away on her Facebook page at Pintabone, while weighing in about every five minutes about how bad it is in the US
She's entitled to her opinions. She can claim white people who disagree with her are racist. This is America. She can even criticize the way we responded to the 9-11 attack on Twin Towers, as she actually did on September 11, a day that most Americans remember as the worst thing to happen here since Pearl Harbor.
Here's what she said.
"On this day 24 years ago, 2,977 people lost their lives. In their names, the U.S. launched a "War on Terror" that created terror by spending $8 trillion of public money, our taxes, killing more than 900,000 humans across Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Pakistan. We were told it was for justice; it was for oil, arms deals, and imperial control. Honoring the fallen means condemning the lies that sent so many more to their graves.

She's certainly entitled to claim we are all about imperial control. But my question is - why is she here? If she hates the United States so much, why did she leave Pakistan and move here? Shouldn't she return there or to one of the many countries that endorses her hatred of the US?
I know there's a lot of xenophobia out there, but she herself is full of hate.
She claims Easton, obtained by the Penns as a result of an admittedly shaky deal known as the walking purchase, is on Lenape land. If she believes that, why would she want to be a member of Easton City Council?

Sultana is a convenient Citizen. She likes being an American when it suits her or her family personally. Back in the old country she didn't have it as good. That's why she doesn't leave. She is good at running her mouth but delivers little to those who voted her in and who she is supposed to serve.
This woman is a horrible, vile person. I just recently learned that she’s married to County Council candidate Nadeem Q. He will not be getting my vote.
As to your question to Taiba asking "So why is she here?"
This is the same question I ask of ALL persons who entered America illegally. No matter if they sneaked across our border and never left, overstayed their visa, lied about who they really are, submitted false documents, or protest in the streets proclaiming how bad America and American citizens are.
Best advice I have for these ungrateful malcontents is to just LEAVE this country. Go home or sneak into some other country you believe will treat you better.
Does a vote for Lori Vargo Heffner help or hurt the ascendant Taiba Sultana wing of the Democrat Party?
Most of the establishment Big Democrat and Big Media money over the past ten years has been poured into the Orange Man Bad bucket. (“He’s H!tler and anyone who even votes for someone in ‘his party’ is a fascist.”)
Republicans haven’t had a unified narrative. Our populist wing supports President Trump and most of the America First agenda. Our traditional wing often acts out Orange Man Bad.
On the National scene this two party dynamic within the Republican party means that when we win a small majority we don’t have enough votes to pass most of our America First agenda. The Republican traditionalists aren’t afraid of the populists despite the Big Media caricature of little Natsis cowering at the feet of Orange H!tler.
It seems different with the Democrat party. I see feeble, elderly Democrat leaders on the national stage loosing their power to the real power in the Democrat party - leaders who hate America. While Lori Vargo Heffner doesn’t look like Schumer or Pelosi, I see the same dynamic in Easton.
The past few months I’ve gotten to know a TEAM of five Republican county council candidates, including two immigrants, who proclaim their deep love for America. I’m putting my time and effort into the proposition that giving the Republican team a chance to help Tom Giovanni manage our county is better than taking a chance on any member of the party with the ascendant force that talks America down.
You won’t catch me voting to give more power to party of Taiba Sultana and Kelly Keegan.

Hatred has always existed, it’s the visibility and frequency in everyday
Life that it occurs. We carry it as a
Defense mechanism to use without regard for civility nor do we care about consequences. She is a prime example.
Taiba is off her rocker, but I will miss her occasional appearances in your blog. With that said, many who love America have come to question the motives behind the war on terror.
I see few people who have fully embraced the vibrant diversity of Easton as Frank Pintabone. He goes to every part of the city, meets with residents of every community to understand their concerns, and seeks to represent everyone equally.
Taiba is not in any way whatsoever representative of the local Democratic Party, if she was she wouldn’t have been absolutely destroyed by Bob Freeman when he was seeking his 100th consecutive term.
She’s a cancer, and latches onto whatever organization she hasn’t burned yet.
Luckily, nearly all of those organizations do no support her anymore either. After she loses next year for whatever she’s running for, she will be officially done in this area and can move along.
But trying to broad stroke the Democratic Party with the brush of a true lunatic is a bad move guy.
Stick to the X rants bud.
In my view, he is the ideal public servant and in every sense of that word. I have never seen someone as dedicated to the citizens he serves as he is. What blew my mind was when he went out himself and hauled garbage from a resident that city haulers missed on their rounds. Who does that? Frank. He and Crystal Rose have both impressed me as new Council members, more than anyone I've seen in recent years.
Your argument does not hold water since the local Democratic Party has embraced her husband.

If you say Taiba is not in any way representative of the local Democrat party, you must also say that the leaders of your main Democrat party are not in any way representative of you. How about Rashida Tlaib, Zorhan Mamdani, Schumer and Pelosi?

Sultana represents a large constituency of Democrats. When she committed her crimes, she should have been sentenced to shine Christopher Columbus' shoes on the statue in Riverside Park.

I don’t understand people like her and Ilhan Omar. This country gave them everything. Omar came from a third world shit hole to a congressional seat, she’s worth millions now, yet she expresses deep hatred for our country. I just don’t get it, no gratitude whatsoever.

Perhaps Councilman Pintabone should suggest that Easton City Hall be put on a diet….on second thought …..

I think Pintabone is smart for this. Charge the visitors, not the residents. Also, he lowered garage meters to 2.25. Maybe you need the diet, seems you fear walking
There is no doubt that the far left wing is controlling the Democrat party. Look at the 2020 Democrat presidential primary. They all fought to go further and further left. They all raised their hands for free health care to illegal immigrants. A gallup poll shows that 66% of democrats view socialism favorably. The current government shutdown was forced by the left wing of the D party. Fetterman is the only one that makes sense at this point. Mr Janney named a few but don’t forget “mainstream” Elizabeth Warren who answered “you betcha” when asked if socialism is the way to go. She is openly supporting an anti semite radical socialist Muslim. It’s insanity.
Over on Facebook people have been screaming about the meters. I solved my problem, I’m no longer doing any business in downtown Easton. I go to the restaurants in the townships where parking is free and I don’t have to worry about brown-shirted thugs from the parking authority hanging a ticket on my windshield.

I was at a Saucon Democratic meeting at Braveheart in Hellertown with Nadeem when he was running in the primary. I remember the nasty things other Democrats were saying about him behind his back.
