GOP Congressional Candidate Kevin Dellicker's Amended Report Indicates He Had Far Less Cash Than Originally Reported

In his last quarterly report, GOP Congressional candidate Kevin Dellicker reported raising $241,827.22 and having $205,692.08 cash on hand, nearly as much money as his Republican opponents combined. This was dutifully noted by both Armchair Lehigh Valley and The Morning Call. But 10 days following his original quarterly report, Dellicker amended it. He still claimed to have $205,692.08 on hand, but that's phantom cash. Why? Because the amended report includes expenses of $105,621.32 ($23,758.23 to Consolidated Mailing and $81,863.09 to Direct Support Services). In addition, Kevin's Amended report shows another $33,390.43 in expenses for a total of $139,011.75 (page 77 of the Amended report) that he did not list in his Original report.

Dellicker contracted with Consolidated Mailing and Direct Support Services to generate small dollar, unitemized donations. Even well known candidates are lucky to break even when they do this as the costs often exceed the amount raised. In Dellicker's case, he lost money. He spent $106k to raise the $79k he listed as unitemized donations.

This is hardly evidence of fiscsal conservatism.

If you subtract the $139,011.75 from the $205,692.08 available, he really only has $66,680.33 in cash on hand, less than half of what opponent Ryan MacKenzie reported and only slightly more than hopeful Maria Montero.

Just like 2022 turns out all Kevin Dellicker does is lie and play games.

This guy went around for
Months saying he was such a great candidate because of his money. Now it turns out his campaign is broke…. Donors must be pissed

Do you think he did this to show higher numbers for the news?

He may not have cash, but he is the better candidate, and he has my vote.

Having seen that Dellicker's priority is to increase military spending and more money for Ukraine, not the boRder or inflation at home, then an inability to be accurate in his accuniting, Not what we need more of in Washington.

Ryan Mackenzie has the best shot to get it done. Maria Monteros campaign is down the tubes.

Most folks that donate are up against donor fatigue. I receive email and text messages daily looking for donations. Most of the time they can't even get my name right. The message is always the same, "Save our country from the libs", "Libs will eat your unborn", "Libs poked holes in all of your condoms". As a centrist R, I've had enough and will hang on to my money. Once and if we get over the rural white rage phase, maybe I'll get back in the pool.

Ol' Kevin learned a lesson and I'm sure he won't make it again.

No. He strikes me as a very honest person.

Frankly, I’ll take Dellicker’s handling of his money over the way Susan Wild spends OUR money.

Senior Susie is stealing from the Valley’s youth by burdening them with crippling debt. She knows that she won’t have to repay it - our kids will!

Doing that might be acceptable to the out-of-town donors who fund Wild’s campaign, but it shouldn’t be acceptable to any of us who actually live here and want our youth to have a future of their own choosing.

I can’t wait until November to send her packing.

I receive the fundraising emails and texts from both the left (Dems)and right (GOP). The over the top claims noted by Anonymous at 10:10 am are about the same regardless of which side it is. They just start from polar opposite ends. I find it annoying but do not ascribe fault to just one side.

Bernie - I hope you give Kevin a chance to respond. This sounds like a total Mackenzie hit job.

Seems like the amount of cash on hand was reported accurately. Campaign finance reports for all candidates have unpaid bills. This is not to deceive anyone, it is the way it is reported and the reader needs to understand the report. While I did not read it for myself, your post suggests some shenanigans that just don't exist. Likewise, amended returns are there for a reason, to correct a mistake. Suggesting anything else is disingenuous. What people should know is the contract Maria signed with Kathy Barnette to get her endorsement stating she, as a conservative candidate "pledge to advocate and fight for the following principles once in office: ...shut down irreparable government agencies, such as the DOE and FBI..." We don't need individuals that are beholden to ANYONE, except the American people. Endorsements should not have strings attached.

As I read this I absolutely am sure this came from a limping Mackenzie campaign. While we are discussing financials, has anyone investigated the other two candidates reports? How is a State Legislator a Millionaire and driving around in a Tesla? I do believe the taxpayers contribute to his automobile fund? Nice of him to spend our money extravagantly. Also why is it that Maria Montero only reported a basic minimum wage salary income for last 2 years? Isn’t she a lawyer? Has anyone looked into her employment records? It seems she has had quite a bit of different jobs in the last 10-15 years. Her income certainly doesn’t show that. I hope Kevin Dellicker responds and I’m confident that I could trust him, A Veteran who fights for our Country, rather than a Career Politician or a Lawyer without an Office.

I do believe Maria is being funded by Lisa Scheller, who has an axe to grind. Plus paying for endorsements isn’t a quality or authentic endorsement. AFP is backing Mackenzie, ( a never Trumper organization) All about the money, isn’t it. Why not vote someone in who has best qualifications and is authentic and not trying to climb some prestigious ladder.

Bernie, assuming you are correct and there was no nefarious intent on Dellicker's part - I don't understand the "fiscal conservatism" comment. Based on your blog, he made a bad decision; how is that related to fiscal conservatism?

"Campaign finance reports for all candidates have unpaid bills."

That is true and the issue is that Dellicker's original report omitted the fact that he had $139,000 of unpaid bills as of December 31, 2023. Remember the report was filed at the end of January so Kevin had to know that he had unpaid expenses from 2023. We are not talking about one of two bills for small amounts but a number of bills that total $139,000. Had this information been included on his report, then voters could have made a determination of how much cash Kevin had to conduct his campaign going forward.

The fact of the matter is that he had only $67,000 available to use for future campaign expenses - NOT the $207,000 that he used for press releases. Kevin has earned the nickname of Deceptive Dellicker.

Dellicker should figure out how to get some of that Beverly Hills money, like Suzie Wild. She represents Beverly Hills and Brentwood quite well. She hates Lehigh Valley rubes and doesn't need their shiddy money. Kevin should do what Wild does. He's honest and poor. She's rich and crooked. Rich and crooked wins.

Is this the best you can come up with? It's not changing our vote.
VOTE FOR DELLICKER!

Au contrere...Maria is by far the best one to beat Wild Susan! Mackenzie has money, but lacks brain power.

People should understand how serious this really is. It's clear what Dellicker was doing. He wanted the positive articles to come out about having 200K in his account so He can go to D.C. insiders and donors and say look how much money he has. Then he secretly changes his finances a week later to reflect what he really has.

This is dishonest and not truthful. This is the same stuff Dellicker has always done.... Doesn't endorse Lisa after losing in 2022 giving us Susan Wild, then in 2024 tells everyone he endorsed her while telling others he doesn't remember if he voted for her.

Give me a break. He lies. He is shady. And he wants to be a politician at all costs.

I can’t wait to see what lie of an excuse he responds with. Everyone knows what he was trying to do here. He wanted to show something he didn’t have in hopes to get more money.

I’m excited to see how he and his team spins this one.

Lying Dellicker. I hope people expose him

Why doesn’t anyone look into how much money American’s for Prosperity has given to Ryan? All of his mailers have been paid for by them. Ryan claims to endorse Trump but American’s for Prosperity is against Trump. They are funded by the Koch brothers who hate Trump and are for open borders. Ryan is a total fraud.

Ok but he shouldn’t be learning “lessons” in Congress. He is definitely not qualified for this job. He would just be another career politician who spends money on wars.

Where do you get your information? CNN?

I agree with you. Kevin did state that he raised and had more money than his opponents. I am not a mathematician or an accountant but I can easily determine that if I spend $106,000 to raise $79,000 - I’m left with a negative number.
