YouTube Video of NorCo Budget Hearing Concerning 43% Tax Hike Fails to Post Online

Yesterday, NorCo Council conducted its third budget hearing concerning a 43% tax hike requested by Exec Tara Zrinski for next year. Though the meeting lasted well over two hours, the video failed to load. Instead, an error message appears. These videos are being brought to you by NorCo's outside IT department, which has demonstrated yet again why this outfit should be canned. It also follows the elections' office refusal to post campaign finance reports to the county webpage.

Since Executive Tara Zrinski claims transparency, she will hopefully address this matter. The public should be able to watch these budget discussions.

  1. I was able to fast forward thru most of the skipping parts and watch most of it. Very annoying though. Definitely should can IT people.

  2. That is not surprising for Northampton county

  3. Are you talking about the November 4th Courts and Corrections budget hearing? Its on YouTube posted 13 hrs ago. Its about 2 hours and 20 minutes long. I didn’t get an error when I played it.

  4. You expect transparency from the Commissar?

Funny how the technology works just fine when the Official Northampton County Face Book page "likes" social media posts about Steve Samuelson winning his 15th straight term, Bob Brooks defeating Mackenzie, and Democrats winning both the House and Senate.

    1. The first 30 seconds would broadcast and then I'd get an error message on three devices. I called someone who was able to watch the meeting live (I was not) but had the same issue when he attempted to watch it later. It is operating now.

    3. I watched it earlier than that. Maybe around 8:30. Could it have been a user issue??

  9. Do your research on YouTube post processing. And maybe change your wording to "can Youtube"? Longer streams can take anywhere from two to twenty-four hours to process fully and post.

    1. Untrue. Meetings have always been available immediately. Also, when I have posted my own videos, it has sometimes taken time for longer meetings, but that's in uploading it, not watching it.

  12. The audio when watching the videos is very bad, and it does not help when many don’t speak into the mic. I would like to see council reel them in and make sure they talk into the mic closer

  13. The audio is bad on some devices but good on others, but bad or good, it does no good when people fail to use mikes. I will note that Kraft has been pretty good at reminding people to use the mike. Zrinski, her admin and Qayyum have been very bad at using the mike.

  14. Best to keep this kind of hearing away from the unwashed. That tax increase is going to crush renters and modest homeowners - especially retirees on fixed income. Renters? You bet. Landlords won't absorb a penny of it. They own homes and have their own increase to pay. They'll simply pass any tax increase along to renters, just as they do with other costs like insurance and utilities. The least able to afford the Democrats' stunning increase, are the ones who'll feel the pain most acutely. Show the peasants how much you care by taking some more vacation days at the government center.
