Seven Employees at Allegheny County's Nursing Homes Suspended, Fired and/or Arrested

Allegheny County owns and operates four county nursing homes known as the Kane Community Living Centers. According to CBS, two maintenance workers have been arrested and charged with theft by deception for claiming considerably more hours than they actually worked. In addition, the HR director has been charged with fraud and theft after directing that funds be deposited into the account of a niece for a full year after that niece was no longer employed. The HR director allegedly intercepted those checks and deposited them into her own account.

The administrator at one of these homes has been suspended along with one of his top assistants. In addition, the Director of Nursing and two of her deputies have also been suspended.

Crime does appear to be a growing problem in America.

This is a strange random blog post. Moral of the story is bad things happen everywhere?

Your just trying to make it look like problems happen at other county owned nursing homes. Stop, just stop trying to cover for your boy Lamont and his puppet Tara. He ran that place into the ground the same way he ran all of the county facilities into the ground. From CYA,the 911 center, JCC,and don't get started on the jail.
Yes I'm sure all work places have issues but a couple of maintenance guys taking some OT isn't the same as a elderly patient with health and mental issues walking away from the facilities, or let's not even bring up the removing of evil spirits from residents.
So stop. Stop trying to cover for your boy.
And Tara please become your own person. You lied to all the county employees when you said we would see a clean start a new way of running this county. And you didn't do any of that. You kept the same people in the same position doing the exact same things. It's a shame. We had no one running on the opposite ticket that wanted to win. And I believe, as a republican ,we had another candidate on the democratic side that would have made some positive changes but Lamont and his little gang pushed her out. It truly is a shame for the tax payers of northampton County and definitely for the county employees.

The point of this post is that, while Gracedale has its share of problems, other county-owned nursing homes have them, too. At Gracedale, the problems relate to care and finance, but fortunately, there is no history of Gracedale employees steaking from the county.

One last time, the Gracedale problems occurred over a long period of time. During that time , Zyrinski, Barron, McClure, and others knew of the pending Sunami that was coming, so stop putting this just on McClure. They were aware, they failed to act, and this was predictable.

I agree. But take barron out of that. The buck stop at the leader. If you want to be the boss. You take the good and the bad. At no time do I believe Mr.Barron did something and not have Lamont tell him do it. So it happened on your watch when you're the boss own it.
And for Tara she is doing nothing to change it. Maybe she is and the general public hasn't seen it yet but to this tax payers eyes I'm seeing no change or effort to change. She kept all the same players.
The definition of insanity " keep doing the same thing over and over thinking there is going to be a different outcome. :
It goes the same with keeping the same people there. Plus a lot of those Same people are going to try to cover up what has happened there.
