Three Allentown Middle School Students To Be Honored For Flag Day Essays

On Flag Day this year (Tuesday June 14th, 2016), the Great Allentown Band Concert will take place at 7 pm at West Park in Allentown or, in the event of rain, at William Allen High School's Jack McHugh Auditorium. Three middle school students will be also be honored for essays.  

1st Prize ($100) - Trexler Middle School's Melissa Fatzinger for "Flag Day." She is taught by Susan Trainer.

2nd Prize ($75) -  South Mountain Middle School's Isaiah Rodiguez for "What is a Flag? " He is taught by Dianne Mascari.

3rd Prize ($50) - Harrison-Morton Middle School's Malachi Greene for "Once a Naturalization" He is taught by Lucia Levan.

We expect our honorees to show up thirty minutes before the scheduled start of the Concert and festivities ... And also invite their teachers as wells .. As well as offer an invitation to the Allentown School District Administration as well as members of the Allentown School Board and City Council and City of Allentown officials.

Lehigh County Common Pleas Judge Edward Reibman will be the guest speaker.
