In her first report as NorCo Executive, Tara Zrinski told County Council last night that she will be announcing ... tentatively ... her new cabinet on January 13. She wants the suspense to build. Any new cabinet official will need to be confirmed by Council.
At least one of those appointments might be known. Mark Aurand, who served as Zrinski's Deputy Controller, is her interim Administrator. He explained the county's liability policy to members last night.
Interestingly, Council never even mentioned that they need to appoint a Controller to replace Zrinski.

Bet she keeps McClueless people.
TZ has inherited a whole plate of hot potatoes. I wish her well.
Hope she keeps some of the existing admin. They were stifled under McCluless and couldn’t properly do their job. Best thing would be to make sure McClueless is gone and let those stifled admins work wonders.
She’s in way over her head.
Many of McClure's cabinet members are quite good and I suspect she will keep them. I particularly like Tina Smith bc she is grounded, down to earth and works very hard at the community development aspect of her job. I would disagree with her on some things, like a tax incentive to develop luxury apartments, but we can't agree on everything. Mike Emili has been an excellent Public Works Director, but no one is able to fix those rotunda doors from swinging open in the wind. Several have tried. All have failed, lol. Our former Administrator recently gave birth and may not wish to return, but I was surprised by how well she did in her time on the job, especially concerning elections issues. I do not know whether Aurand has been tapped as the new Administrator, but such a move would make sense as he is very close to Zrinski and has learned a lot about the county in his capacity as Deputy Controller.
Absolutely over her head. God help are county. McClueless will be running it with his people that is why in my opinion he is in the Solicitor's office with some incompetent solicitors. He'll fall back on that especially if he doesn't get a win in running for anything else.
Tara is off to a great start. I don’t ever recall a county executive doing what she has reaching out to members of the community and attempting to fix issues (her summit). She very well could go down as one of the best we ever had, time will tell, but we have to give her a shot. Very impressed so far!
When does she announce that she’s going to run for Lisa Boscola’s Senate seat.
She wants the suspense to build. What, are we children. 🤦♂️This isn’t going to go well. That’s why McClure has an office. He’ll still pull the strings.
LOL!
