Hanover Tp Taxes To Remain Steady Next Year

Taxes in Hanover Township next year will remain the same as this year under a budget recently proposed by Manager Jay Finnigan. I'll have details after reviewing the budget and attending a budget  hearing

  1. Did they all pat each other on the back? Run away developments contributing to pollution and water runoff. Don't forget warehouses. They are almost as bad as Bethlehem Twp.

    1. Hanover Township has controlled growth. You need to do an inventory as they have 1/4 of the warehouses Bethlehem Township has and didn't let a road deteriorate requiring a loan to fix it.

  2. Please don't compare Hanover to Bethlehem Twp. Hanover is less than half the size, with half the population of BT. The median home value in Hanover is higher than BT, and the median income is higher, which makes for more tax dollars generated per household. Hanover hasn't come to total build out yet (BT pretty much has), so new tax dollars are still coming in. The day will come when construction will cease, costs will rise, and a tax hike will become inevitable.

  3. Another inaccurate comment about Hanover Township. Other than the undeveloped airport land on Airport Rd the entire Township is built out other than a lot here and there.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
