Early this morning, Allentown blogger Michael Molovinsky derided canvassers who scour Allentown neighborhoods in search of votes. His real objection to this practice, in which both parties participate, is that Democrats do it better in these parts. It's core political speech, fundamental in a system that elects its leaders. But Michael called it "knock and drag", implying that voters are being forced to the polls against their wishes.
Ironically, a Muller campaign worker did drag two people today. Milagros Cintron, a college student, managed to save a man and his wife from a fire in South Allentown while canvassing a neighborhood.
I don't think this couple minded being dragged. I think the college student forgot to knock.
