LC Director of Emergency Services to Retire

Lehigh County Director of Emergency Services Thomas H. Nervine today announced his retirement from County service, effective sometime in March. Nervine has led Lehigh County’s Emergency Management operation since 2005.

A former Regional Operations Director for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), Nervine has also served as Allentown State Hospital's Fire Marshall.

He was also the Mayor of Catasauqua from 1986-1990. It's been all downhill since.

“It’s been a pleasure to serve Lehigh County’s residents as Director of Emergency Services,” said Nervine. “I have been fortunate to serve in different capacities with the state and county over the past thirty years and now look forward to new challenges.”

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
