NorCo Ends 2025 By Announcing $2.5 Million in Grants

As 2025 draws to a close, Northampton County has issued news releases detailing $1.7 million in grants this year for public safety, affordable housing, local planning, infrastructure, economic development, quality of life initiatives and tourism. All of these grants are publiclyapproved by County Council after internal review.

The first set of awards, the Grow NorCo grants, is a competitive program designed to help local municipalities and nonprofits move forward with projects that might otherwise be delayed or eliminated. A list of the recipientsm, and amount received by each, is located here. The highest awrd amounts are $40,000. No grants were awarded to any for-profit ventures.

The second set of awards are $400,000 in affordable housing grants to 18 different non-profits, and you can view them here. All of these were approved by County Council. No money was given to any for-profit venture.

A third set of grants are $600,000 to "support local police, fire, and emergency medical service organizations with critical projects that enhance public safety throughout the county." They include P25 radio upgrades, license plate readers and vehicles used by first responders. You can see the awards here. Yes, I've seen 294 pictures of McClure on Facebook handing out the big check. He also posts about it on a ton of social media pages. Nothing like the power of office. He couldn't buy that publicity! Sadly, he will get his ass kicked by Brooks. Bye bye Lamont.

Bob “Crooksy” Brooks ? Wasn’t he investigated by the FCC for the theft of satellite tv ? If so, that would give Crooksy relevant Federal experience, no ?

Why would anyone vote for a guy that has never been elected to office, has no experience for the job, has the nickname Crooksky, and also screwed over his family? That's the guy you're voting for?

Thank you Lamont for all the ways you helped small business owners with this grant money and also increased LV's economic development!

The blog author would be wise to reflect upon 2025 , and each year proceeding it, to assess why his only accomplishment in life is a furious squall of lies that he etches daily on a Google platform. Speaks to himself, while posting fake responses from his imaginary friends, in hopes of vandalizing the reputations of good people. A literal demon who can't look in a mirror, because said mirror would shatter into a million glass shards. A proud liar who detests the truth daily

Thank you Lamont and Northampton County Council for helping to keep our business afloat during the pandemic. The State limitations on our business inhibited our success and the grant program administered by the county allowed us to continue to provide free services to veterans in need. Could not have done it without the assistance. My family and I are eternally grateful.

Saw them too. It Feels unlawful that a citizen cannot comment on the county’s Facebook posts

Lamont didn’t give you the funding, it is offered up each year depending on who makes a presentation worthy enough to grab it. He has no bearing on it, the council approves or turns it down.
