You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Hand delivered mine today in the courthouse. I checked my emails tonight. They posted it as recieved at 10:45. I delivered it about 10:30 . Fast and efficient.
ReplyDeleteIn previous elections I voted right away. Now I am holding my ballot until a week before the election just in case something happens that would make me change my vote.
ReplyDelete@BOH this is exactly the reason I do not like voting being allowed weeks or even months before an election.
DeleteLocal elections are important.
ReplyDeleteWill your school district buy books or ban them?
Will your municipality honor conservation easements or expand a landfill?
Will you lose access to a library?
Will your public works department fix potholes or let them grow?
Local elections directly impact the quality of life in our communities. Make sure you research the candidates then cast your ballot.
We didn't lose our library and the landfill is a welcomed tax revenue source by everyone else except the 35 'landfill warriors'.
