Correction: Who Else Has Withdrawn in NorCo Municipal Race?

Yesterday, I informed you that incumbent NorCo District Attorney Terry Houck has withdrawn as a candidate for re-election. At the moment, Democratic nominee Steve Baratta is unopposed. That could change if the local GOP finds someone who is willing to run, but that would have to occur no later than 75 days prior to the election. Yesterday was the final date on which party nominees could withdraw. Two other candidates for municipal office have withdrawn.

In Hanover Tp, Jean E Versteeg has withdrawn as the Democratic nominee for Supervisor.

In Plainfield Tp, Matt Glennon has withdrawn from either a two-year or four-year seat for Supervisor.

Correction (11:40 am): Versteeg has informed me, via comment, that she still is running for Supervisor. Apparently, she was also a candidate for Auditor and withdrew from that race.

  1. I have not withdrawn from the race for Hanover Township Supervisor. I respectfully request you publish a correction. Thank you.

  2. Jean, I was unaware that you were3 also a candidate for auditor. When I saw the withdrawal form, I assumed incorrectly that you were withdrawing from the supervisor race. My apologies. The post has been corrected.

  4. Glennon won primary for both two year and six year seat for Supervisor in Plainfield. Did he withdrawl from both or just the two-year?

  5. Why is Versteeg, and possibly Glennon, running for two offices and then waiting until the last minute to withdraw from the one they apparently don’t care about?

    Are they that indecisive?

  6. corruption = Biden crime family-worst in our history--Bernie you voted for him and now all the bad democrats are going after Trump because they fear him, and they should because if he is elected-he will go after them and also make America great again.

  7. When will Cusick be withdrawing from the race for Controller. Zirinski will sweep him in her win in November. He does not have a chance. She is already having another team Tarsa event this weekend in Danielsville. It is being promote by her team and the county dems as well as her. Hard to compete against that kind of juice.

    1. I don't think she'll do very well out here in Danielsville. This is Trump country.

  8. Terror Zinsky is lining her coffers to pay her bills, she doesn’t stand a chance against Cusick. He knows more about math and finances of this county than Zinsky could ever could, even with Baron coaching her. She will lose because she wants a job with insurance and a paycheck, she doesn’t fight for anything remotely relevant to the county or her job description. She always strays from what her responsibility is as a council person. Too bad she thinks so highly of herself.
