What a Difference a Day Makes!

Easton City Council member Taiba Sultana spent her Tuesday evening as a guest of Northampton County's jail after being unable to post bail on charges of domestic assault at her home. On Wednesday, Magisterial District Judge Richard Yetter released her on unsecured bail.

WFMZ-TV69 tried reaching her at her home, but was told she was not there.

So where was she? At Easton's National Night Out, with some  of her kids, posing with Colonel Foghorn Leghorn. When she found out the Colonel was actually a reporter in disguise, she head-butted him.

Then she ate him,

All joking aside, I am astonished that she'd be out and about, posing for pictures and acting as though nothing happened.

Kinda' like Fed Ed when he was under indictment.

Or Donald Trump.

  3. She believes she’s a victim of the system. In her politics as well as her personal life she’ll play the victim card. A narcissist like her has no shame, it’s always someone else’s fault.

  4. Any individual under indictment, and who feels strongly about their innocence, or is disappointed by the way the entire matter has been handled, SHOULD CONTINUE ON as they normally would. Many indictments handed down are maliciously created for effect and later shown to be bogus.

Why be ashamed about being mistreated? Why act like you’ve already been proven guilty. You are not guilty.

    1. Who mistreated her?? Her children called 911 while she was abusing one of them.

    2. She abused a child, and you are attempting to make her the victim.

It’s almost as disgusting as her posting pictures (with the same children who spoke to the police less than 24 hours earlier about her abuse) at a community event on her Council FB page.

      Almost

    3. Typical democratic politician. Plays victim when others are abused.

  5. The comment at 6:58, likely from Sultana, reveals her as a narcissist. Her children will be under incredible pressure.

    1. Starting to her people come out who worked under Sultana and the type of emotional and verbal abuse she inflicted upon them as well from a position of power.

I fully expect everyone of her children and husband to back peddle on her actions and dismiss them.

She is an abuser in every sense of the word.

  6. It appears the eldest of the three boys has an injury around his left eye, which makes me deduce he was the one who received her wrath. Regardless, if there is a domestic abuse charge, shouldn’t there also be a PFA? Is Children and Youth involved? I am very surprised she has been allowed access to the children, unless this is really a non-issue. Bobby Gunther Walsh survived the claims against him, as will the councilwoman.

  7. @Bernie- I disagree that the comment you assume is Taiba shows her to be a narcissist. What do you think she should do? Hide in a closet? Walk around with her tail between her legs like a dog?
She should continue to act as she always does. She hasn’t been proven guilty and even if she is then how do you propose she act??

  8. Perceptive comment from Bernie at 8:47. The 6:58 comment is also, clearly, what DJT would say (and IS saying).

  10. Ladies on Pine St don't want her in their presence, she's bad for business.

  11. The media is being careful to say that she is accused of assaulting a "family member" without saying the relationship. I assume that is because he is a minor.

  12. If you are going to beat up someone, don't do it in front of all your neighbor's Ring cameras.

  13. This is a stupid post. People are routinely charged with a crime, and carry on with their daily routines, for weeks and months, until their hearing. I plan to take my kid to Dorney next week. If I get charged with DUI this weekend I should hide at home?

    1. If you beat your kids, we’d appreciate you NOT going to Dorney as you probably shouldn’t be around kids

    2. Do city council members routinely beat their children until they are bloody, and then two hours after they get out of jail pose for pictures at a community event with their kids on their official council Facebook page?

  15. She won’t be remembered for her legislative action on city council, if any, but she will be remembered for being arrested for child abuse.

  16. I've been around a long time and the only times I've ever witnessed someone giving headbutts, the giver was quite inebriated. There are no reports of her being soused so we can only assume she's nuts.

  17. If Easton Council tries to remove her all she has to do is bring up the Dave Hopkins case again and again.

  18. We don’t know what issue was , she’s out on unsecured bail. Might have been couture issue . I’m a conservative now reregistered Independent, I say this woman was probably disciplining her kid or kids. They way she grew up is not like us here in Easton. I find her conjectural and awareness on top of anything. I actually like her . And happy she is here representing a part of Easton . Though anybody the knows me that knows me would understand my thought process.

  19. Speaking of FedEd..69 news really laying it on thick about his situation and the pity party for him and his sentence. I find it amusing that Ed admits to reporter that if he had plead guilty..he would be a free man now taking a plea deal for a lesser sentence but..he is an arrogant pr and thus he got convicted by jury and now has to pay that price. What a jerk he is and the rabble that clamors for clemency for this crook. Sorry..no pity for this clown and his immoral behavior and greed.
