Sultana Silent on Arrest at Easton City Council

Easton City Council had a very short meeting last week (August 9). It was their first meeting since Sultana's July 31 arrest for a domestic assault inside her home. At a meeting in June, she accused the other members of Easton City Council of bigotry and sexism. "I am a minority, a woman, an immigrant, a Muslim, and I want every race of human being who live in the City of Easton to be treated equally, not marginalized and targeted. ... Any woman who stands behind this podium and asks questions has been intimidated by the male elected officials and it's on record. ... I refuse to accept the status quo and will not allow a group of men to intimidate a woman of color. ... They think the black and brown community is criminal and dangerous ... ."

This time, she was quiet.

Her preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for August 28. No attroney has entered anappearance on her behalf.

  1. No matter how many cards, race, women, minority this thing attempts to use, it still is not above the law.

  2. Was she supposed to beg forgiveness? from folks that have no business sticking their noses in it.
    She answers to the Court.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the personal lives of the members?
Had she said anything then the complaint would be she was trying to spin something.
    A lose --lose scenario.
Reminds me of a saying--"when the fox hears the rabbit scream he comes running but not to help"

    1. Then maybe she shouldn’t have stuck her nose into the Lance Wheeler situation. Can’t have it both way

  3. Perhaps she no longer wants to butt heads with council and the mayor.

    1. Perhaps she is just sitting quietly because this involves her stupid, reckless, criminal actions. She can’t spin this as the savior of all people of color or Muslim. She should just resign and go away. I wonder why her husband hasn’t come out in her defense ???

  4. She is absolutely off of her rocker. Councilwoman Sultana has done nothing for the city of Easton or the residents. The only person who supports her is Wheeler while he spins out of control.

  5. If you are convicted of domestic assault, can you be considered a criminal? If so, can she then add that designation to the long list of those she espouses to represent? Her behaviors and utterances might also land her in the category of a silly fool. I can't keep up with all the categories and labels. All I know is we all bleed red when injured and we all will die someday.

  6. Sultana needs to resign! I hear so many Dem insiders say how annoying this and bad for the democrat party she is. Do us all a favor and leave!

Answer: Yes. A public official's business is everyone's business.

    "She answers to the Court."

Answer: Yes. But also refer to the previous answer.

"The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the personal lives of the members?"

Answer: No; not unless it's in the agenda. Please refer to the first answer regarding public officials.

"Had she said anything then the complaint would be she was trying to spin something."

Answer: If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." - Harry S Truman

    "A lose --lose scenario."

Answer: This is common with losers.

"Reminds me of a saying--"when the fox hears the rabbit scream he comes running but not to help""

Answer: "Better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Well bless your heart you agree it is not on the agenda.
Therefore all the others that did not bring it up(or put it on the next meeting agenda) are at fault
Perhaps they are intimidated by a women, perhaps they resist being used by weak people who lack the stones to confront her and try to use others to do their bidding.
Perhaps those folks realize a personal issue is just that.

    1. Maybe they don’t want to be slapped, punched or head butted!!! Oops forgot she only does that to her children

    2. Please explain what they would be intimidated by???? She is only good at taking pictures, she is a dud.

    3. Public comment on non agenda items is also the place to bring it up.
Unfortunately, most people are afraid to speak up because they know they will be immediately labeled…
      1.Sexist
      2.Racist
      3.Both of the above

Sultana has done a good job of Installing this fear into members of council and the general public over the past few months.
Her fanpage (also an anti Panto Page), the “Easton Post” has played a big part in that as well.

Well you do not know yet you think you do.
Her statement in the past has nothing to do with the current issue.
If you do not like her previous statement--fine.
Trying to tie the past statement to her current problem is akin to blaming carrots for heavy rainfall.

Well unless you are a witness you are repeating allegations not proof.
    Those allegations may be true.
However if those allegations turn out not to be true will those "burn the witch" folks admit they were wrong?
    Kinda doubt that

    1. The chief responded to protect his officer’s from half truths and accusations of racism and bias that would be spewed by the councilwoman, given her comments against them with the wheeler arrest especially since EPD didn’t even effect the arrest only stood by since it was within the city

    2. Easy way to prove what happened.

Have Sultana ask for the body cam footage to be released. If she has nothing to hide, it shouldn’t be an issue

      Delete
    3. What will body cam footage show? Her arrest was by the book…. Unless she was wearing one during her accused assault it proves nothing

      Delete
    4. 603. Bodycam footage will show interviews of Sultana and the Children as well as any proof of assault on the victim

      Delete
    5. 6:03 Everything was recorded, there wasn’t any possibility it wouldn’t be with Sultanas past comments and accusations.
Fairly easy to see releasing the body cam video wouldn’t benefit her at all.

  13. Sultana is a perfect fit for the dopey voting block that exists in Easton. Especially the College Hill area that overwhelmingly displayed her political signs in support.

The average Easton voter spends .7 seconds in the voting booth.

Straight “D” across the board and move on.
