I usually stay off the Internet on weekends, but thought I'd fill you in on my latest experience with vaccines. Around this time last year, I got a pneumonia, flu and Covid vaccine all at one time. I had no reaction. Yesterday, I got the flu and the latest Covid booster at the same time. I slept 12 hours last night and followed that up with a three-hour nap today. I was able to do high intensity interval training yesterday, right after getting the shots. Today, I struggled while walking my neighbor's dog. I cancelled some of my exercises today, but can feel my body is finally returning to abnormal.
I did not even feel the flu shot, but the Covid booster actually burned on its way in. I have no idea which vaccine me feel tired.
I would suggest that if you want to get a vaccine, try to shoot for one on a Friday or Saturday so you can get plenty of rest.

My personal experience, I'd rather feel discomfort for about 8 hours than to be incapacitated for 11-12 days like I was with Covid. The covid recovery was even longer. I strongly feel my elderly mother was taken taken down by non masking visiting care. It may have been her time, but no one should suffer from someone ses selfishness. So emblematic of the "ME FIRST" movement. We have learned a lot since the onset of covid. Some fault the unknowns suggesting we over reacted but there no doubt lives were save and I would give up a temporary pain in my wallet to have another home cooked meal made by mom.
A close family member who receive chemo about 1.5 years ago, received the vaccine and has recently recovered from a short duration covid. I attributed his survival and recovery to the vaccine and medication offered to him.
I am not trying to persuade the unpersuadable. The purpose of this post is just to share my experience with those who are thinking about getting their annual shots. As reactions go, I'll take sleepiness. Who doesn't love sleep?
I am a recent convert to the flu shot. It's only been about five years that I've been getting it. I have been sick only once since starting. I am also one of those lucky people who either has escaped Covid or had it asymptomatically. I will get the booster every year. I will also get the pneumonia vaccine every five years. I'll get the shingles vaccine once it becomes free. That disease preys on the elderly but is not covered by Medicare.
I've had all those vaccines and most of the boosters. The strongest side effect for me was fatigue. The shingles vaccine, however, both doses, knocked me out for 24 hours each.
In early 2020 I remember some midwestern school superintendent justify shutting down his schools by saying something to the effect of "history may tell us we overreacted and did too much, but that's better than not doing enough."

I got the two Covid shots and the first booster. I skipped the second booster bc it did not address the latest strain and I was waiting for the booster that included the latest variations of COVID. Most people I know skipped booster #2.
Sorry. You may be right. I got the shingles vaccine at Giant and I wasn't charged. I have Capital Blue Cross and Giant pharmacy has my information on their computer. However giant did make me get a note for my doctor that I was healthy to receive it. His receptionist that's the note over. Sorry if I gave you false information.
Most doctors will tell you to wait at least two weeks between flu shot and the new Covid booster. Please do not feed the Trumpkins because you screwed up.

If it burned on the way in, the person giving you the shot really messed up. I got a booster last week, and it was the least painful shot I ever had. Barely even noticed it.
BernieOHare to 7:17, well, I almost certainly pissed her off. I hate when I have an appointment and have to wait. I could understand if she was giving injections but was just filling out prescriptions. I think that attitude demeans people and let her know. I may have paid the price, lol, although I doubt someone in that field would do that to an ornery customer.

Got the booster and was beat street the day after. Two days later, I ran good 5 miler at 9:30/mile @ 172 lbs....I'm a little bulky for a runner & 60+ years old.. Taking no chances this year after getting COVID last year which almost killed me (lost 13 lbs)... Hopefully after 2 booster shots my immune system is the best it will get... Stay out of crowded sports bars !!!
I had less fatigue with this new Moderna. But I had nausea all day relieved with eating something. Not a problem for me. Did have itching at site for at least one week but no noticeable swelling or rash. My greatest fear is getting long Covid if I get infected. I did not get second booster and do not travel outside area. I am in my mid-seventies. The two-dose shingles vaccine's side effects were much more unpleasant for about 24 hours.

Yes, I did mean abnormal, lol.
My second pneumonia shot did that to me. And my doctor said he wouldn't give a tetanus booster with it. Although the flu and covid shots can be combined.
