If you want to get inside the Northampton County Courthouse, you must wear a mask, submit to a temp check and go through a metal detector. While I understand that these precautions are necessary, I must say I've been tired of getting thermometers stuck up my ass, especially when they break. So I was delighted yesterday to see a brand new, noninvasive temperature sensor. You line your head up with a silhouette on the scanner and get a reading.
The device announced "normal" and "normal" as the two people in front of me lined up their heads with the outline. For me, it said "empty."
These scanners were purchased with money the county received under the CARES Act.

Rectal temperatures are the most accurate.
According to the narrative that suggests these devices are taking temperatures and not pictures, and certainly not to engage in political theater as our Governor does at press conferences with masks, purely in the interest of medical accuracy, I will be showing my asshole to such a temperature gage.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq_I0F8iBOs Gov. Wolf's masks are political theater video.
Does anyone show up with a near normal temp with the forehead scanners. I have had them used on me at both medical facilities and stores and my temp is never above 94. I know some have called me a cold fish but really?

Yes, these things are not about a medically accurate internal body temperature to be used as a data point to diagnosis a possible medical condition.
If they were accurate and useful for medical data you see them at nursing homes and hospitals first, instead you go through the hand held theater with a greeter and get a sticker.
This is about taking your picture for security proposes where government buildings would have a priority, in this capacity they are superbly effective when married to facial recognition software.
