MC/Muhlenberg Poll Shows Trump Has Three-Point Lead in NorCo

A Muhlenberg College Morning Call poll released today shows incumbent Susan Wild with a substantial (52-39) lead in the Pa. 7th Congressional District. This comes as no surprise, given its overall Democratic population. What I find disturbing about this poll, which cautions it has a 5.5% margin of error, is that it gives President Donald Trump a 49-46 lead over former Vice President Joe Biden in Northampton County. I have repeatedly warned that Northampton County is poised to vote for him again.

The poll was conducted among a sampling of 412 "likely voters" between September 21-24. Likely voters are newly registered voters or those who have actually voted in one of the last four general elections, and who say they are likely to vote on November 3.

In Lehigh County, Biden has a 56-39 lead. He's ahead in Monroe County, too, at 50-48.

  1. Beware of the shy Biden voters this time around. Many wives are nodding along to their idiot husbands ranting while sitting in their recliners watching FOX News. Secretly, they're going to vote for Biden when they go in the booth. It'll be their little secret and get them all revved up later that night.

  4. Trump and McClure are strong leaders who do it their way. Party doesn't matter.

  5. Please correct the last sentence in the first paragraph of this post from "I have repeatedly warned" to "I am completely freaked out" that the voters are wiser, and more intelligent, than Lehigh Valley Ramblings.

Politico based in Arlington County, Virginia, doesn't have to walk too far to get it's news programming.

Politico specializes in providing content that elicits and emotional response from it's audience.

    From the letter,

"You and your loved ones are cherished members of our great American family"

Better they starve than believe that shit, right.

Although I am not at all moved emotionally I understand your outburst, in a time of political theater, Trump is casting shade on your efforts to help the hungry.

  10. This coming from backers of the indicted powalski. The silent majority will speak at the polls and not before.

  11. Bernie: I think you are reading too much into it. It was a poll of the 7th, so the sample size for northampton is small and may not be uniformly distributed. More Biden signs in neighborhoods than Clinton in 2016, and less Trump signs in those same neighborhoods. I was out in Hanover the other day, so many Biden signs in a fairly conservative area.

  16. Bernie, your right, heavy leaning to right in this election in PA. I said this before, new gun owners are afraid the cops won’t show if called. So- as I help these folks load their first magazine into the firearm their so unfamiliar with, I tell them to vote. Haaa.

  17. 3.25 p.m. Nothing wrong with the Trump Letter - Apparently you do not receive all the junk "what's happening in our district" information newsletters used by our Congressmen but are in fact campaign newsletters paid by YOU and not by the politician out of their campaign funds.

  18. If Northampton County does go Trump does this mean no federal funds for Northampton County?
