Transcript of Trump Call to Ukraine Prez

You can read it here. He did ask a foreign government to help him and his personal attorney dig up dirt on Biden and Biden's son.

44 comments:

  1. Guess you missed the part about the him having the AG of the US call. No secrets, no surprises, no cover up or quid pro crap like Fed Ed and Dirty Mike. Another bust by the Democrats which will put the nail in their coffin for another Trump win!

  2. If the White House apparently thought releasing this transcript would serve as damage control, what will the actual whistleblower complaint reveal?

  3. So the prez sez:

"The other thing, there's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the
prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me."

So let's play a kids game. How is one not like the other?

"Three Democratic senators have written a letter to Ukraine's prosecutor general to "express great concern" over reports that Ukrainian officials had looked to potentially hinder special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

Sens. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Dick Durbin of Illinois and Patrick Leahy of Vermont wrote in the letter to Yuriy Lutsenko that a recent New York Times report said his office "effectively froze investigations into four open cases in Ukraine in April, thereby eliminating scope for cooperation with the Mueller probe into related issues.""

Anyone else find it funny that we have the president accused of trying to influence another election right next to a deputy telling someone to look away? How can a deputy be held accountable for telling someone to look away when the President sets an example of degrading anyone beneath your position?

The AG (and pretty much everyone around trump) is entrenched so far up his back side that I don't doubt this is a huge cover-up. That's all his administration does is damage control for him. Anyone that dares separate themselves from him in the tiniest bit is immediately roasted as the most incompetent person in the world. Which, if actually true, means that Trump continually surrounds himself with the most incompetent people in the world! That would make the only sense here. His newest press secretary stated there are no more press briefings because too many questions would be asked about his policy. Shocking.

In any case, this is way too similar to his supposedly benign requests for Russia to hack Clinton in 2016. He mocked a child on twitter the other day. Really? The world is changing. It isn't a hoax. He has no limits and is slippery as hell just like Capone. So, I bet that is why he is hiding his tax returns. I am sick of every middle and lower PAID class being held to some high moral standard and the president can incite hate riots and no one cares.

Btw.. to all you that think liberals hate America.... screw yourselves. Go back to whatever country you came from. That is what the president taught us all to say, right?

  5. Much ado about nothing. The probability of an actual impeachment is very slim with Republican in control of the Senate. A few, like Romney and Sasse will move to impeach, of course.

The "whistle-blower" will need a good performance. His connections to the Democrat Party and the fact that he will relay 2nd/3rd hand information will be problematic.

This will continue to hold back legislation right up until the 2020 election as the House will spend most of its time in these useless committee hearings. Might also embolden China to hold back on any trade deals.

Biden will have lots to explain about his contacts with both Ukraine and China. Right now, looks like a benefit to Warren's campaign.

  6. The dems will strike out again this will hurt Biden not Trump as a matter of fact this will make sure people see the dems for what they are---anti - America left wing radicals

  7. Reading the transcript closely, Trump is asking Ukraine to assist with Gen. Attorney Barr's ongoing investigation with the origins of the Russian investigation done by Mueller. Trump asked if it's OK for Barr to contact them, and for Giuliani who was following up on a request from Trump's State Department who had information about unethical behavior by Biden involving Biden's son.

  8. @12:51

Trump himself has said he doesn't know who the whistleblower is.

How do you know the person has ties to the Democratic party?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't believe Trump is capable of speaking that intelligently.

  10. Looks like a fairly large nothing buger. A whistleblower on the whistleblower is blabbing about whistleblower 1's connection to an opposition political campaign. Dirty dirty dirty. The attempted coups continue. While the current SCOTUS is a tyrant, Ds are hellbent on making the whole place look like a banana republic. Neither side has any claim to higher moral or Constitutional ground. They are all disgusting.

  11. A nothing burger? He withheld millions of dollars for security aid to press a foreign leader for "dirt" on a political opponent! I'm starting to believe he could literally shoot someone on 5th avenue and you wingnuts would still defend him.

  12. Canary -

I don't know the individual's name, but when I connect all the dots (his attorney, Lawfare, Schiff, Clinton) it leads me to that conclusion. It will all come out pretty soon.

5:14 - the desired military suport/ funding went to the new Ukraine President BEFORE the new Ukraine government could have possibly made any investigation into the matter.

  13. It appears it is actually Joe Biden who interfered in Ukraine's internal affairs by using the auspices of the Executive Branch:

"Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor.

In his own words, with video cameras rolling, Biden described how he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin."

  14. One thing is certain after yesterday's and today's events. Joe Biden is absolutely finished. Any investigation of Trump includes Biden's dirty son and the dirty stuff Biden's already bragged about - on camera. Biden is radioactive.

    1) House approves impeachment
    2) Senate (with Republican majority in an election year) gleefully holds summer-long trial where Trump declassifies volumes, Biden and his son are exposed and mercilessly flogged - all summer long and maybe during the DNC convention
    3) Senate votes to acquit - as everyone knows it will
    4) Indictments of key Dems are issued, resulting from impeachment trial testimony. It will go way beyond McCabe and the dirty cops. It'll take in the usual connected money and advisor suspects - many of whom work in the Warren, Sanders, Harris and Buttigieg campaigns.

This impeachment folly (i.e. inquiry into inquiry into inquiry) is a D plot to get rid of Biden. And it will quickly spin into chaos. That's why Pelosi has been running from it. She knows from the Clinton example that Ds are committing harikari.

  15. So "dirt" means criminal activity.... The president wanted Biden's son's criminal history in the Ukrainian jurisdiction.

Trump may have had a reasonable suspicion about Ukrainian dealings to have limited his inquiries and requests to Ukraine. It's appropriate to consider criminal activity when evaluating whether Aid to other counties is warranted.

I would think Biden and his son would welcome the exposure unless Trump's suspicion of criminal activity is well founded.

except Pelosi gets an impeachment vote one week before the RNC convention.
She gets to inquire about trump raw-dogging porn stars, strange condo sales to Russians.
    trumpie's tax returns show up.etc
Republicans get tarred with all of Comrade trump's sins.
they decide to dump trump in a feeble attempt to keep their jobs.
republicans lose the Senate and the White House.

  17. 6.59
and only Comrade trump's personal attorney was capable of investigating?
    no one else was available?
    rather hard to believe.

from the comments section of your source
"Shokin was ousted because ALL of the donor States, including the EU as well as the US, felt he was corrupt. If you read the sources they outline exactly HOW corrupt he was. Ukrainians who had lost 140 people killed by Yanukovich in their uprising in 2014 were angry that Shokin wasn't forwarding any prosecutions to punish the perpetrators, hence numerous protests against him.
That is well-documented. Biden was just carrying out the general diplomatic pressure of the EU and US to try and clean corruption up in the Ukraine.
He DID NOT initiate this policy."

"Trump may have had a reasonable suspicion about Ukrainian dealings to have limited his inquiries and requests to Ukraine. It's appropriate to consider criminal activity when evaluating whether Aid to other counties is warranted"
so trump should have condemned Manafort who was neck deep in corruption in the Ukraine.
or trump believes that only his people can be corrupt?

"He DID NOT initiate this policy."

Awful lot of chest thumping for something he didn't initiate.

But the point is that lots of administrations try to influence foreign governments, and Biden bragged about withholding funding to do so. Hardball? Sure. But leave it to Democrats to weaponize presidential jawboning.

And as those things go, this transcript is pretty weak tea.
I'm comfortable having the American public read the transcript and then watch the Biden video.

Feel free to twist yourself into all kinds of Snopes-type "context" pretzels.

  21. Hunter Biden's Burisma crap is really bad, but isn't criminal. Joe Biden's already admitted twisting arms in Ukraine. Whether it was by withholding US aid (not likely) or helping his formerly screwed up kid (probable), it's now going to get lots of scrutiny - as it should. Trump should be impeached. But he won't be. Joe Biden is the first casualty of whatever comes next. He kind of earned it.

"so trump should have condemned Manafort who was neck deep in corruption in the Ukraine.
or trump believes that only his people can be corrupt?

Manafort was condemned to 47 months in prison...so it's clear he knew a thing or two about corruption in Ukraine and told his political novice boss what both parties engage in along with who may be the players.

  24. I have never seen a declassified secret document with not one redaction.

    Has anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1. Trump instructed the transcript to be made available unredacted.
    2. Manafort was gone from the campaign (fired?) after about 3 months.
    3. The Democrats could pass an official begin to impeachment (this wasn't that) as they hold more seats and they all vote in lock step.
    4. Wouldn't go anywhere in the Senate who has a higher threshold to pass.

Bottom line is, Trump WILL be around to finish his first term but the Dems will continue to do everything possible to smear him and vote against anything Trump would like to see passed.

  26. Conclusion for sure, Biden is finished as the dem nominee, Dems are going to appear as enemies of the country, not dealing with immigration, or any other problems that need to be addressed, YOU CANNOT TRUST THE DEMOCRATS WITH POWER.

  34. 9:58 You must be REPUBLICAN. I say that because the post had absolutely no proper sentence structure, capitalization, or punctuation that young children learn in school.
