Lisa Pawlowski For Mayor?

Is Lisa Pawlowski, wife of the imprisoned former Mayor, running for the job herself. That's the political gossip coming my way from a Democratic party activist who shall remain anonymous. According to this source, Phoebe Harris and Jessica Ortiz working for her. The strategy is to cobble a plurality in a multi-horse field. This is precisely the same strategy her husband used. According to my source, Lady Lisa has been visible at different community events.

Lisa would attract her husband's hard core supporters, and as a woman, would benefit from a surge in sometimes irrational support for people whose only distinguishing characteristic is that they have no penis.

According to her LinkedIn page, Pawlowski is a "group facilitator" with the Center for Humanistic Change. The focus of that nonprofit is drug and alcohol abuse prevention through the development of life skills. It is aimed primarily at schools.

I have not reached out to Ms. Pawlowski. She and I are on pretty bad terms. She has publicly told people that I am paid on the basis of the number of people reading this blog. She has urged a boycott. The truth is that I am paid nothing.

Incumbent Mayor Ray O'Connell has already announced he's running. Businessman Nat Hyman might run, too.

Updated 9 am: I just received a call from Phoebe Harris, who denies she is working for Pawlowski. She asked me how many sources I had before I went ahead with this. Just one. This story is not double-sourced. It is not real journalism. It is just political gossip. Naturally, if I were disclosing something sinister about these people, I'd be more careful. The rumor is probably untrue, but it's fun to speculate on the "what if."

  1. I would feel sorry for Allentown, but those idiots who voted to re-elect her husband are probably still dumb enough to elect her.

  2. Who does she think is paying you? Not surprised she is running. Allentown is still a mess, sad

  3. Bernie you need to check your sources because they are incorrect. Jessica Ortiz and I are not working for Lisa. I'm a straight forward person and I have a candidate for Mayor and it isn't Lisa Pawlowski. Lisa is caring for her family and doesn't have the time, energy or need to run for Mayor of Allentown. Bernie you could have just asked Me if this story was true and I would've laughed and told you absolutely not true.

  4. Isn't she going to be indicted when the boy is 18 because of the other half not taking the plea deal and having the local soap opera publicity involving local democrats criminality at the forefront? Now we are all hit with taxes and fees for not only theft of services, in gnats run for mayor he had mentioned ASD to be in a few million sort fall and them taxes are going to rise too!

  6. My friend knows Nat Hyman and he told me that Mr. Hyman is not running. Can you imagine if our choices are "Slow" Ray O'Connell or "Corrupt" Lisa Pawlowski along with a few other stragglers who have no shot like that Watt woman???! We will be a laughing stock.

  7. I didn't believe it at first either. I had two separate sources tell me the same thing. So I asked around. I found out that others had called Lehigh County Voter registration for information to see if Lisa Pawlowski was eligible to run. My thoughts on it are that as long as she is legally allowed, more power to her. Is she qualified? That is for the voters of that jurisdiction to decide. Maybe there is LSD in the Allentown water supply, that might explain it. I count living outside of Allentown as a blessing, even though it could be argued that there is a pretty dumb bloc of voters out here in the suburbs as well. Petitions don't start until Feb 19, so we can't be absolutely sure until after that window closes on who is running where. One thing is sure, ray O'Connell, nice guy that he is, is in WAYYYYY over his head. So I expect something of a repeat from two years ago, with every possible candidate imaginable jumping into the shark infested waters.

    1. She is as qualified as Danny McNeill’s wife who took his slot. She was just made a hero because he passed away and not something else. His daughter even got a job at the county in HR for which she is totally unqualified. So goes politics.

  8. I don't believe she's running for one simple reason - she's boxed in.

She'd either have to admit that she doesn't have the experience to run the city, or she'd have to admit that she was involved in the corruption while her husband was Mayor.

She can't have it both ways, and either way is a loser.

  9. MsPhoebe Harris, I posted your denial and Believe you.

  10. So Phoebe denies it? So who is she working on behalf of? These people wouldn't know the truth if it landed on their heads. If this coming out dissuades certain wannabees from running because they realize the folly of it, that might be a good thing. The City needs GOOD, qualified candidates, not hacks

On Sal Panto's Facebook page, Lisa Pawlowski declared that I am paid by the Internet gods based on the number of hits I get, and this is what motivates me to say outrageous things. This is completely untrue. Also, if I wanted to get paid for posting sordid or salacious stories, I would be writing something other than local government.

But this story is just political gossip. Only one source. Hardly newsworthy, but certainly blogworthy.

  12. I've sourced your sexual preference with the one guy (could be more but not less) who said that you were on your knee's more than one time with him. Must be true!

  13. Ms. Harris and Jessica Ortiz are the movers and shakers of the emerging Allentown Democratic Party scene. In a very few years the city wing of the party will dominate Lehigh County Democratic politics and becoming a regional powerhouse.
Good luck Lehigh Valley for All, your days are numbered.
The Lisa Pawlowski for mayor rumor has been floating around for months. Individuals who are long standing players have been aggressively shopping this rumor about for months. The question is who benefits from this specific piece of nonsense?

Lisa Pawlowski is fortunate that she was not indicted along with her criminal husband.
Anyone close to the action knows that she was involved up to her eye teeth. She wears the pants in that crime family.

  14. Lord save us from this hot mess. The married wife of a convicted felon even runs for office? You cant make this stuff up."Lot Lizard Lisa" is about what her profession should be. This lady must be smoking some serious stuff to be this far in outer space. Major Tom to ground control come in.....I think of this song when folks mention her running.

  15. Lisa is not running.
She is working and taking care of her family.
Phoebe and Jessica are on the payroll for Hyman.
They are working the center city for him.
However, both are in trouble with the Allentown Democratic party.
I believe both have been removed as officers within the party.
Hyman is being investigated for the death of a worker at one of his buildings.
Hyman is not as popular as he thinks.

  16. O'Connell will win the remaining 2 years.
He is more political savvy than people give him credit for.
Hyman should wait for 2 years and then go head to head with Guridy.
Lisa indeed met with community leaders and thought about running.
Hyman met with her also and ask for her support.
    She turned him. down.
He also met with the Syrians and they turned him away.

  17. Sickening to even think of it. Does she realize what her husband and she have done. She should be glad she does not have a jump suit of her own. That pic of her reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire from the movie. What a squirrel

  18. Bernie with that LinkedIn acct maybe she is selling the rehab for the one they want? She should just fly the coup to dc and become a party favor to the left or right like the ones she is imitating she just may be able to land a fbi agent or a senator while fed ed is making sweet love with bubba.

  19. O'Connell 2 more years wow is Allentown going down the drain

  20. Susan...., the woman who has been peddling this rumor for months has been desperate to see it picked up in Lehigh Valley Rambling. She’s a longtime insider Dem party operative.
It’s unclear what her motives are but for what it’s worth she’s is a strong Ray supporter.

  21. Lisa Pawjowski is a criminal sociopath like the Penguin. She was in on EVERYTHING,
Ortiz and Miss Harris were the type of Pawjowski dead-enders that made the sorry spectacle go from criminal to pathological.
God help the City of Allentown with these people in positions of political powers.
It’s so bad that the upper income suburban Lehigh Valley For All gang looks reasonable.

  22. Once again Bernie engages the local politicians to discuss Ms. Pawloski's plans.Ms Pawlowski's hand has been called and She will publicly have to announce her plans for elected office

  23. How long does it take to make the round trip to Danbury?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Fed ed is wearing his highjib around the cell block and even had braids weaved upon his bald head to stop the name penqwin from sticking

    ReplyDelete
  25. From Allentown to Danbury is 2 hours and 45 minutes each way. I used to deliver to the Danbury Mall every Wednesday over 20 years ago.
I asked several sources about this rumor, and it is obvious to me that feelers were put out in search of support if Mrs Pawlowski were to run for office. Now did she direct those feelers, or was someone else playing some other game? The only way to know is when Mrs Pawlowski herself speaks.
If only you could trust anything that the local Democratic CITY party says. If Harris and Ortiz are running things, then that is a train that will likely derail because there is no light at the end of that tunnel!
I have no doubt Mrs. P has been made aware of the discussion here. Hopefully she will call Bernie and clear this up for everyone.

  26. Q•How can you tell if Lisa is lying?
    A•Her lips are moving.

  27. Bernie:
While I typically don't respond to things that people write about me, some of things written today by your readers are so outrageously fabricated that I feel the need:
    1. I am not running for Mayor.
    2. I have met Phoebe Harris and Jessica Ortiz probably 3 times ever. I have never paid one dime to either of them.
    3. I am not being investigated for a death or any other matter.
    4. I do not think I am popular so I don't know how to respond to the comment that I'm "not as popular as I think".
    5. I never met with Lisa Pawlowski.
    6. I never met with any "Syrians" to ask their support.

I'm sure that no matter how or what I say, some people will take issue with it or parse it but I hope that clears some things up.

    Francis Dougherty

Lying is in Lisa Pawlowski’s DNA also.
These people are liars who hide behind Jesus.
There are dozens of people like them in the Danbury Federal Prison.
Where are all the shills that proclaimed Pawlowski’s innocence now?

  29. Nat Hyman- I am not running for Mayor.
    Sorry to hear that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nat Hyman not running for Mayor is a BIG loss for Allentown. If Ray O'Connell didn't run that write-in campaign with the sole intention of siphoning off votes from Nat Hyman and reelecting Fed Ed, Hyman would be Mayor, we wouldn't have a 27% tax hike and the city would be moving forward with strong leadership. A sad day for Allentown.

  31. Sorry to read that Hyman isn't running. He is the most qualified person we have had in my memory.

  32. O'Connell is a sneak he will do anything to prop up his large ego he knows what best for the people of Allentown he tells us this he is so stupid he would have payed over a million dollars of tax payers money for a 200000 job is that not enough for people of Allentown to see what type of mayor he is.

  33. I am trying to figure out what the run on sentence of 8:20 AM is all about.

  34. O'Connell has always been a sneak as a administrator he did many sneaky things as a candidate for mayor he cost the Allentown people the chance as a good candidate who has a lot of ideas and would have been good for Allentown and he was not a democrat look at what the democrats have done to the cities of the us as a mayor look how he sneaked his budget 27 percent tax increase but a 3 percent raise for his buddies this man made promises that he would make changes look at what he did he kept all of fed eds boys he will take Allentown to new lows people of Allentown just lost 25% value on their homes because of the taxes the city the schools and the water

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't believe for a minute that Ray O'Connell is a bad man. I do believe that he is in WAAAAAAAAAY over his head as mayor. I disagree with the contention that he could not get rid of many of the Pawlowski administration holdovers because he couldn't afford to loose their "institutional knowledge" of how the city operated. It was pretty obvious to any outside observer that the foxes were running the henhouse and animal control should have been called to eradicate the infestation. That isn't "institutional knowledge" that is open corruption and graft. That is why you are still hearing the same complaints about city departments and how favoritism still runs rampant. When the first thing you do after taking office is make sure family and friends have jobs, that doesn't look good.

Will the king poverty pimp be running this campaign with non-profit monies misappropriated?

  43. Knock it off. Ray O'Connell is a good man. I have no respect for the way he pulled off the 27% tax hike. I believe he lacks the business acumen of a Nat Hyman. But he is honest and Allentown could do far worse. It already has.
