Make Your Last Minute Pitches Here

As many of you know, I man one of the polls as an election worker. I turn in early the night before, so I have no stories for you today. It's your turn. Please feel free to make your last-minute pitches here. Also, if you've voted, please let us know where, what time, and what the turn out is like.

  1. I got a ROBO call from Peg Ferraro today. Way to go Peg. You know how to piss off the women so they don't vote for you again. I will not vote for your candidate and you're the reason.

  2. Remember to vote today. VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OFTEN to ensure your candidate wins.

    1. I hear the democrats are voting often again in the cities

  3. The 15 passenger vans are gassed up and ready to transport the same voters to multiple polling places. That’s the “every vote counts” way to win.

    Blue wave... (from prison)

  4. Our President Mr. Trump wants all Republicans to remember that a vote for a Republican is a vote for him. The races in Pa. are already lost. We must all go to swing districts in Virginia and vote there. Republicans should not waste their votes in Pa. We all know that is what Mr. Trump would want us to do. Or wait until Wednesday.

  5. My first vote ever was made in the general election of 1968 .. Since then 100 more combined primary-general elections have occurred … I voted in all of them except one … The reason I didn't vote in one election was because just prior to the election my travel agent changed my ticket to a convention to an earlier and cheaper flight which prevented me from actually going to the polls on election day... Some would say well why didn't you vote by absentee vote … Yes I tried but the problem was that once I received notice of my flight change it was too late to apply for an absentee ballot … At the time I appealed to President Judge of the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas Judge McGinley to be allowed to vote by absentee ballot … All she said as go vote then go for the flight.. That was not an option for me because I would never have made my flight had I went to vote … Because of that one miss I may never receive that special recognition that goes with fifty years of voting... I will vote today in the East Penn Township Community Center … Mrs Wild, Mr Nortstein and Mr Silfies will not be on the ballot … Mr Meueser and Mr Wolff will as will be Mr Heffley and Ms Scott... For years in Lehigh County I was a Judge of election wherever I was needed but basically not in my home district … In Carbon County today I am simply a voter not an election official...

  6. Vote the Republican bums out of office, they are stealing your taxes to give to their rich friends and the trailer people think they got a tax break.

  7. May all the voters in Northampton County be safe today. Take a moment and watch driving and cell phones ,The combination is killing and injureing a couple hundred of people daily. The situation gets ramped up as stress increases. Slip hazard today likely here. Good day for Americans in this Republic .

    1. Agree on the cell phones and driving. It kills more young teens than guns. We need to raise the age of cell phone use to those over 21. It will save many more lives than raising the age limit to buy a hunting rifle.

  8. Remember republicans vote on Tuesday, Democrats vote tomorrow Wednesday.

  9. Yes, we vote today, but it will not be peace, just getting ready for the next battle.

  10. Ah. The deplorables are now trailer people. Above is the best reason to jobs not mobs. That’s what Dems think of you Rs and Is who would dare to reject their hateful governance.

  11. The VERY heavy early voting totals before today give me reason to fear. Not fear of a wave election by either party. No, this is a fear of more voter fraud than usual. I am expecting many challenges to whatever election results we find tomorrow morning. I don't have faith in our voter checks and balances nationwide.

That said, it will be Marty Nothstein and a few other Republicans for this Independent. No vote for Justin Simmons this time, however.

  12. Voting today should be an easy choice. It's a referendum. You either support democracy, or you support the communist who is about two news cycles away from humping car tailpipes.

  13. Watch a Trump rally. Look at the people behind him.

There's your reason to vote "D", irrespective what you think. The caravan, mob that Trump warns you about is already here in the country and we need to start to take things seriously.

It begins by wresting control of Congress from those who look the other way while a racist, rabble rousing real estate developer tries to change America into something it was not intended to be.

God help us if we fail to do this.

  14. 7:10 has apparently read Saul Alynsky's Rules for Radicals, section on psychological projection. You've got things a little backwards, poster.

  15. Was happy to see Andy Lee finally punch back after too many cheap shot mailers from Justin Simmons this election cycle. Time to move beyond the guy who takes credit for things he has had little or nothing to do with, but has a million excuses why things he's been talking about leading for four terms continue to be stalled.

  19. @8:29

You might have misheard them. It was actually Simmons' constituents (= family and friends) chanting 4 more terms.

The irrational anger, hatred and false grievances of the modern republican party will be forcefully repudiated by the rational members of our society.

In part, this change will reflect the strong distaste rational Americans have had since 2016. This is not red, blue or R v. D....this is rational versus irrational.

I know where and why I stand....and I'm pretty sure where you stand.

  32. Its time for an amicable divorce, lets have a peaceful separation, 2 or 3 countries, where people can live in peace with those of a like mind. If you want socialism or communism great, you can have it all you want. If you want capitalism and personal freedom and individual responsibility you should be able to have it. There will not be a resolution of our differences at the ballot box. Just the imposition of the will of one side on the other.

    ReplyDelete
  33. No matter who wins today, it is obvious the great american experiment has ended in failure. Most of the left and the young generation are ready to try the siren song of socialism and government control of the means of production. If only some of us could get out, if there was someplace to go.

  34. Sorry about that elderly lady in Forks Twp. Poor woman’s last vote.

  35. Let me see, Social security $1,700.00 a month, municipal pension $3,600 a month, Medicare and Medicaid (free) State medical benefits (free), Senior discounts for almost everything, and you want me to vote for some guy with a pouty face and yellow hair. Really?

  37. Yes, 2:33. Don't forget, all of those income sources are now taxed at a LOWER RATE because of Trump and the Republican administration! That adds up over 8-10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Unemployment rate dropped from 3.7 to 3.6 with Bernie working today.

  39. Anon 7:26 Those Simmons mailers detailed the PUBLIC RECORD of Andy Lee which is as follows:
38 health code violations in one year at his restaurant, Found guilty in a court of law for stealing $20,000 in copyright material, caught serving liquor to minors. These are well documented indisgressions that completely expose Lee as a fraud. Ill take Simmons 8 years of legislative experience and long list of accomplishments over your restaurant flunkie any day of the week.

  40. Write in Donald Trump for every office. Send a message that we want all government to be great again. Stop the criminal hordes invading our great country. A write in vote for Donald Trump is a write in vote for peace, prosperity, security and a safer future for all people. MAGA 2024!!!

  43. Black Sox Sam , i advice you to seek a mental heath facility as some as possible. . Here is what I have to say . I will defend this judge of our court , he was voted in by contingency. If you think you will harm him , I will personally defend him and you and nobody else wants to tangle with me . We know where you live and you are a threat to a Northampton County Judge at this point. So - what to have at it with me ? You don’t know ,what you don’t know. . I post my name. ,unlike you , Evan know the know who you are.

  44. In fact Bernie , Let’s you ,and me have a meeting with the Sheriff shortly about this meatball. I say the meatball is a threat to the Judge and possibly his family. This situation with his post are consistent with other issues before attacking inosent people. Yes or No?

The Walther a good firearm but they have nobody to produce a group at 50 yards - they shoot meters . At 50 anything . There average soldier never saw a firearm until they were 19. So go scew yearself. That info is inaccurate and exaggerated.

  46. Anon 7:26 Why don't you spell out Simmons' long list of legislative accomplishments that he led so that we can all have a good laugh. The legislation he has led or co-led in 8 years is a joke. Little Justin doesn't show up enough to accomplish anything other than getting paid.

  47. Regarding @5:37, so sorry, I meant to type @3:32 not @7:26. Please forgive me, I was a little buzzed. Given it's a Tuesday afternoon, I was plowing down a couple of beers at the Tilted Kilt even though it's not in Harrisburg where I'm supposed to work. Place was empty and I should probably have been at work, but all good. My wife was home with the baby and I'm locked in the my publicly funded job for life, so no big deal.
